Brian Baumgartner, who played the chilli-loving accountant Kevin Malone, is set to make more money than anyone else on the Cameo app, where you can buy personalized greetings from your favourite celebrities. According to the app's co-founder and CEO, Steven Galanis, Baumgartner will earn more than $1 million from his Cameo bookings, and that is the most revenue earned on the platform in 2020.
Galanis revealed the news to Kara Swisher for the New York Times' Sway podcast. "The person that did the most in revenue this year is Brian Baumgartner, who is Kevin from The Office," Galanis told Swisher. "He’ll do over $1 million this year in bookings." He said that Baumgartner's "persona" makes him a highly requested name and said that the Dunder Mifflin accountant takes "a lot of pride in his craftsmanship of the videos." Galanis added that Baumgartner "really takes it seriously," he's reliable and does a great job with his videos
If you're interested in purchasing a Cameo from Baumgartner, he charges $195, and his videos feature that hilarious Kevin laugh from the show, and sometimes he even gives out financial advice. But if you're not looking to pay a fee, you can catch Kevin — I mean Baumgartner — on his An Oral History Of The Office podcast, which includes interviews with his old costars like Steve Carell, John Krasinski and Rainn Wilson, among others.
