It’s difficult to pick a favourite part of this surprisingly and delightful performance. Maybe it’s Murphy’s willingness to squat in platforms in the name of art. Maybe it’s Clarkson’s earnest love of Schitt’s Creek. Maybe it’s the juxtaposition of “A Little Bit Alexis” being enjoyed by Clarkson’s other guests, George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman, who were on the show to promote prestigious Oscar contender, 1917.But we think it’s Schitt’s Creek creator, writer and star Dan Levy’s reaction to the performance on Twitter. Seeing one of your favourite performers sing a remix of a song from your show? David would be obsessed with this. That's not bleak,Watch @SchittsCreek ! https://t.co/83BEEDhdwz

Speaking with Clarkson, Murphy revealed that she poured herself into the now-famous interpretive dance. “I came up with the dance moves shockingly by myself in my trailer about 20 minutes before we shot,” Murphy joked. “I called Sarah Levy in, who plays Twyla on the show, and I was like, ‘Sarah, watch this. What do you think?’ And she was like, ‘Oh, that’s really, really bad,’ and I was like, ‘Nice.’”I don’t...I don’t know how to process this. I...can’t stop screaming? https://t.co/ddp3XKF5nB

Clarkson love for Schitt’s Creek i well-known. The Voice coach was presenting at the Critic’s Choice earlier this month and was announcing the nominees for Best Actor in a Comedy when she told the crowd, “I personally love Eugene Levy. I love you,” said Clarkson of the nominee. “I just wanted to say that. Schitt’s Creek is the jam, so there you go. Everything else is great too, I just have a lot of kids and don’t get to watch a lot of television.” Bill Hader ended up taking home the award, but at least Levy knows he has one famous fan he can count on.
