Some of the most iconic ‘90s styles—the pieces we know and love today—were made mainstream cool thanks to the cast of Friends (stream now on Crave). Phoebe, Monica and Rachel all helped elevate everyday fashion trends, from mom jeans to slip dresses to leather skirts.

While the show has been off the air for decades, 1990s-inspired fashion is back in a big way and there are so many outfits from the sit-com that are so very wearable today.

So, whether you’ve seen all 236 episodes or are looking for something new to binge over the remaining winter months, Friends, which is available on Crave in Canada starting December 31, will scratch that itch of nostalgia while gracing you with some helpful sartorial hints, too.

Scroll on to see some the best looks from Rachel, Phoebe and Monica, along with pieces you can buy right now to get the look yourself.

Season 1, "The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate"

We meet each character during the pilot of Friends and one the most memorable outfits (aside from a sad Rachel in a wedding dress) is Monica’s micro floral print dress with spaghetti straps and a tee underneath. It’s such a staple look for the decade, and so wearable in 2020 and beyond.

Get the Look: Floral dress

While summer and bare shoulders is months away, you can always layer a t-shirt under your floral spaghetti strap dress, just like Mon did, or even a turtleneck.

Floral dress, $40 at Walmart.

Season 2, "The One Where Rachel and Ross… You Know"

Some would call this basic while others would consider it normcore. Either way, this white tee and mom jeans combo has become a uniform in 2020. It’s easy, it’s comfortable and it’s perfectly approp for any Covid activity, from popping out to stock up on supplies to getting together on a Facetime wine date with pals.

Get the Look: Mom jeans

There’s no shortage of jeans on the market, but finding something that’s not only well-made, but also comes in a flattering cut is tough. This pair from the Gap ticks both those boxes, and also are under $100, which is impressive.

Straight leg jeans, $78 at Gap.

Season 2, "The One After The Superbowl"

When Phoebe’s asked to play her music at some of the local children’s libraries, her nerves nearly get the best of her. But, in true artist form, she pulls it together and looks perfectly quirky in a covetable oversized sweater, long paisley skirt and hair pulled up in a scrunchie.

Get the Look: Oversized sweater

This oversized drop shoulder knit sweater with its ribbed texture and mockneck is reminiscent of Phoebe’s, but these subtle updates make it look approp for current life.

Easy street tunic, $164 at Free People.

Season 3, "The One at The Beach"

The Season 3 finale is where Ross finds out that Rachel’s still in love with him, but my fav part of that episode was the denim on denim Monica wore when she meets Chandler for coffee. Every part of this, right down to the white sneakers, silver hoops and hair parted in the middle and pulled back into a low pony, is on point today.

Get the Look: Chambray shirt

If you don’t own a chambray shirt, get one. These versatile button-ups are always made cozier if you invest in a quality fabric, like this 100% soft woven cotton option.

Japanese Oxford shirt, $90 at Everlane.

Season 4, "The One With the Fake Party"

If Phoebe isn’t wearing velvet, she’s in something with a hippie-inspired print. Or both (take this look, which combined both). The oversized velvet button-up, especially done in an army green colour, is so reminiscent of the decade.

Get the Look: Velvet blouse

Velvet is back in a big way, and not only because it’s winter. There are plenty of options for different cuts and colours, like this turtleneck in a silk blend. The best part: there are also matching wide-leg pants

Velvet top, $100 at Zara.

Season 6, "The One That Could Have Been"

The teddy bear coat has been a fall staple for the past several seasons, but Rachel was rocking one long before it was cool. While the hot pink hue might not be as trendy as it once was, there are plenty of ways to make it more modern.

Get the Look: Teddy bear coat

A quick way to update Rach’s 00s teddy coat is by swapping the hue for something more muted. You can still choose pink, but dusty rose, like this, over fuschia will make it feel more fresh.

Paloma teddy coat, $179 at The Bay.

Season 7, "The One Where Chandler Doesn’t Like Dogs"

Rachel and Monica wore their share of mini skirts and dresses, but at times they went for more modest midi-lengths, too. This leather skirt was just as glorious and versatile then as it is now.

Get the Look: Leather skirt

This affordable option will give you the Rach vibes without breaking the bank. The high waist is flattering on all body types and the slit up the front is an edgy, but subtle detail.

Faux leather midi skirt, $55 at Dynamite.
