Kim and Kourtney get physical as tensions explode on 'KUWTK'

Summer vacation is over on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and some of the famous siblings are taking it better than others. On Thursay's season premiere, we saw tensions build from the start as Kourtney sulked about having to get glam for filming. After spending a month in Italy with her kids, the eldest Kardashian sister confessed that she doesn’t want to film, “like, ever again,” because, you know, priorities. She moped about having to get her hair and makeup done, having a large crew in her house for an Architectural Digest shoot, and filming their reality show. Staring at her phone while unloading on a visibly irked Khloe, Kourtney quickly set the tone for the rest of the episode. She’s over it, guys, and she doesn’t care who knows.While the premiere gave us a behind-the-scenes look at Kylie Jenner’s cancelled Balmain appearance at Paris Fashion Week and some awkward co-parenting hang-outs between Khloe and her ex, Tristan Thompson, everything seemed to build toward the climax we knew was coming: a blow-out fight between the Kardashian sisters (they teased it in the previews, after all).

With tensions at a high, it seemed inevitable that someone was going to get slapped by the end of the episode and honestly, it could have easily been Khloe. As Kourtney looked mildly annoyed and made snippy comments, Khloe repeatedly tried to address the tension in the room—sometimes with tact and other times, more bluntly. (We love that about you, Khlo.) Kim backed her up, eagerly critiquing Kourtney’s work ethic while praising Khloe and herself (that went about as well as you’d expect). One argument escalated, with Khloe snapping, “I can’t let you be an a*****e forever,” to Kourtney, who immediately shot back, “I’m an authentic person.” BOOM.[video_embed id='1927597']RELATED: Kim and Taylor both respond to that leaked Kanye call[/video_embed]Just when you thought the fight was on, we were back with Kris Jenner in Paris. Seriously, nobody cares about that right now. When does the brawl start? And inquiring minds want to know, is Kris worried about Kylie’s health at all, or just about disappointing the Balmain guy? Her youngest child is in the hospital and she’s in tears because no one will walk the runway at the fashion show? And wow, the moment Kris offered$400k and a trip to Paris instead of going after Kim and Kendall, who could not have cared less? WE WOULD HAVE GONE.

Back to the real drama, it was not fun times in Calabasas with the division between Kourtney and sisters Khloe and Kim grew. After a few tense conversations and verbal jabs, the moment we were waiting for finally came. As Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Kendall lounged around Khloe’s house, Kim began chirping Kourtney about her work ethic again (and briefly throwing an annoyed Kendall under the bus). Let’s be real here—with a look that smug on her face, Kim was totally trying to get a reaction from Kourt. She even repeated herself to make sure Kourtney heard her, and it worked—maybe too well, based on what happened next. As Kim insulted Kourtney, dismissing her as not caring about work, Kourtney lost it.“I will literally f*** you up,” Kourt snarled, storming over and grabbing Kim by the arms. “Literally, shut the f*** up and don’t laugh like that.” Within seconds, the sisters were screaming, swearing and hitting each other like drunk girls in an alley behind a club. It was basically a rich ladies' Fight Club.“My daughter is sleeping,” Khloe awkwardly reminded everyone as she unsuccessfully tried to pull her sisters apart. Kourtney decided to walk away but Kim wasn’t having it, growling, “No, no, no,” grabbing Kourtney and slapping her in the face. It ended in angry tears, obviously, before the screen cut to “to be continued.” A cliffhanger? HOW DARE YOU.For what it’s worth, Kim is 39 years old, Kourtney is almost 41 and they have seven children between them. Also, this appeared to happen in the middle of a sunny afternoon with kids around. Totally normal mom stuff, right?

Is Kourtney out for good?

It seems likely that showing all of this ugly drama is a prelude to Kourtney officially quitting the show, which she’s been threatening to do for what feels like forever. She’s miserable, she’s on a totally different page than her sisters and no one is happy with her blatant indifference and lack of gratitude. On the flipside, Kourt’s not a total monster for feeling like she does—she fell into a strange reality television world that made her rich and famous while totally stealing her privacy and freedom. It’s a trade-off some people would happily make, but it’s not for everyone.It’s not working, Kourt, so make a clean break! Go back to Italy with your kids and drink wine on a yacht. Eat a big bowl of pasta with a hot younger guy and post pics on Instagram. Block Khloe’s number!
