It's not every day you get saved IRL by James Bond himself, but hey, most people aren't Halle Berry. The actress told Jimmy Fallon that her
Die Another Day co-star Pierce Brosnan, who of course was playing 007, actually saved her life when she choked and stopped breathing during a scene in their 2002 Bond film.“I was doing a scene with Pierce Brosnan in
Die Another Day,” she explained to Fallon from her home where she’s quarantining with her two kids and two puppers, “and I was supposed to be all sexy and, like, trying to seduce him with a fig. And then I end up choking on it! And then he had to get up and, like, do the Heimlich!”
"James Bond knows how to Heimlich," Halle continued. "He was there for me. He will always be one of my favourite people in the whole world.”Let’s have a round of applause for Pierce Brosnan!Pierce
told the story to the
Irish Examiner back in 2002, but it looks like this is Halle's first time speaking on the incident and the anecdote never made it across the pond. It's going to make viewing
the finished scene a little more exciting, no?Halle was initially a guest on
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on CTV2) this week to talk about her directorial debut film,
Bruised, but with COVID-19 quarantine orders in place, the film's editing and release have been delayed indefinitely. So with ample downtime on her hands, she explained what life at home is like for her and her kids, and apparently, it’s a bit tied up in knots. As she tells it, her 12-year-old daughter refuses to brush her own hair after they go for a dip in the pool every day, which naturally resulted in a follicle malfunction and, eventually, the dreaded clippers.“All her hair, which is past her shoulders, has shrunken up into a tight ball that feels like matted fur. Like, I can't even get my finger in it!” she laughed. “And I'm pulling, and she's screaming!” Halle went on to say she slathered her daughter’s hair in conditioner and put her in the shower for 30 minutes, but that just didn’t do the trick. So, horror of horrors, Halle had to take matters into her own hands. “I had to shave it off!” Her daughter is now bald in the back. That's a tough look to pull off even for the kin of Halle Berry.[video_embed id='1943009']RELATED: The dos and don’ts of haircare in quarantine[/video_embed]This zany quarantine story was interrupted twice by Jimmy’s scene-stealing daughter Winnie who kept vying for her dad’s attention. Jimmy, being the gracious and doting father that he is, very kindly let her join in for a minute before she lost interest and left. Of course, a few minutes later, Winnie triumphantly announced her grand return with, “I’m baaack!”Seriously, we’re predicting that Winnie Fallon will be one of the biggest stars to come out of the at-home late night whosws. She just loves the camera and it clearly loves her back.Watch
