The Kardashians are back, but not for long. After 14 years and almost 20 seasons of
Keeping Up With The Kardashians (Thursdays at 8pE on E!), the famous family has decided to say goodbye to their iconic reality show. (That sound you hear echoing through the hills of Calabasas? It’s Kris Jenner sobbing into her 4:00 p.m. martini.) Fortunately, we’ve got some time before the final episode airs, as the show is expected to run into early 2021 (just in time for Kanye to take office, obviously... we kid.) And, after an unexpected end to season 18 due to the COVID-19 pandemic halting filming for several months, the KarJenner fam is back for an all new season 19. So, where did we leave off?Things started out with a bang back in March when Kim and Kourtney
got in a physical fight during the season premiere. After weeks of exchanging nasty looks and snide remarks every time they were together, tensions were high between the Kardashian sisters. During a visit at Khloe’s house, Kourtney snapped and lunged at Kim while Khloe tried to de-escalate the situation and Kendall gaped incredulously at the chaos. It was pretty wild, and actual blood was shed. After a few more tense family meetings and a lot of dramatic confessionals, Kourtney confirmed that she was
leaving the show....except she didn’t, really, because we saw her again like, two episodes later. But in that moment, she was DONE. Farewell, Poosh.During Kourt’s brief disappearance, we learned more about Khloe and Tristan’s relationship, which involved
maybe having another baby. Not as a couple, of course, and maybe not even as co-parents, according to the document Tristan signed, but there was maybe-probably-definitely going to be a second Tristan-and-Khloe baby, probably through IVF. It was complicated to say the least, but our prediction that they would be back together sooner or later?
It was bang on and we got a little tease of how it may have happened in the preview for the show's return. Any bets on when the next pregnancy announcement will be?
As all of this unfolded, Kourt was suddenly back for a
weekend in Napa with Kris, Khloe and Kim. There was plenty of relationship talk, some genuinely great advice about Khloe’s baby situation, a ton of wine and some very drunk reality stars in wine country. Stumbles were had, words became hard and wine glasses were broken. Never stop being you, ladies. This is why we tune in week after week.We also learned more about Kim’s dedication to legal reform as she advocated for the release of Rodney Reed, who many believe was wrongly convicted (his execution was later stayed). Between her advocacy work, studying for law school, marketing her product lines and parenting four children, we’re not sure when this woman sleeps. Can someone please tell Kanye that Kim doesn’t have time to be First Lady? Just let her focus on the prison system and SKIMS.[video_embed id='2036367']RELATED: Kim Kardashian’s new maternity shapewear line receives mixed reactions [/video_embed]In the final episode of 2020 before KUWTK was abruptly put on hold, we saw Kourtney (yes, the sister who “quit the show”) host a
spectacular Christmas party wherein Sia appeared in a giant present before performing for guests. It was a beautiful event that showed no sign of the family feud that had led up to the holidays, with Kylie, Kim and Khloe wanting to hire caterers and a cleaning crew on Christmas day while Kendall wanted to “not be waited on for a day.” Kourtney agreed and as the official family brunch host, she finally won, promising a “homey” Christmas for the siblings and their offspring. (“Homey” is a relative term, of course, but it was fairly low key for the Kardashians.)Oh, how we’ve missed this show. If there’s ever been a time to get lost in reality television it is now, and we’re so glad they’re back.
