Not even sure if host Nikki Glaser can save us...

People who date men have long warned each other of the f***boi – the charming, charismatic, sexy playboy who is only here for a good time, not a long time (ugh). So it stands to reason that someone would make a show out of it.

The premise of FBOY Island takes three women ready for love, and tasks them with sorting through 24 men – 12 are "nice guys," 12 are Fboys. And the women have to suss out which men are which. This is Too Hot To Handle with what you might call a feminist twist (but that's a stretch).

“Women have been forced to tolerate the manipulative, douchebaggery of FBoys for far too long,” host Nikki Glaser says off the top of the trailer,” And that's why we're here. Welcome to FBoy Island!”

As the sexy men debate over whether it should be pronounced “bruh” or “bro” (sigh), the women have bigger problems on their hands. There’s also a cash prize of $100,000 to be won at the end of the 10-episode series, and the FBoys have admitted to producers that they’re just here for the dollar bills.

As the banger tune “Boys” by Lizzo plays in the background, we see the men and women flirt, get hot and heavy and (maybe) catch feelings. It's a dating show dream and basically every real-person's nightmare.

We are left wondering if leopards can change their spots (FBoy leopards, that is), or do nice guys truly finish last? (ugh)

Nakia Renee, CJ Franco and Sarah Emig are our three heroines taking on this challenge from hell, and the show has some serious reality dating talent behind it; Elan Gale from The Bachelor franchise originated the series’ concept while Sam Dean from Love is Blind serves as showrunner.

When the trailer dropped, it was received with, shall we say, mixed reviews

The show premieres on HBO Max on July 29th, until then we'll be wondering why HBO Max is censoring the F word for this show. You’re HBO! That's your thing!
