Stranger Things has dropped its latest season 4 teaser trailer, and it looks like we will be learning all about Eleven’s origin story, played by Millie Bobby Brown.

The second teaser trailer hints at the return of Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine), who Eleven refers to as papa. The video looks to be set at Hawkins National Laboratory, run by Brenner.

Eleven and many other children were raised and trained in the laboratory while the doctor performed experiments on the children who have psychokinetic abilities.

"Good morning, children," Dr. Brenner said in voiceover, leading to the children's voices replying, "Good morning, Papa."

He asked, "How are you today?" and they all responded, "Good, Papa."

"Good, I'm glad to hear it. Because today, I have something very special planned for you," he said, with a hint of mystery.

The end of the teaser stops in front of a door with the number 11 on it and Dr. Brenner asks, “Eleven, are you listening?” as she opens her eyes.

It’s unclear whether the end of the trailer was Eleven waking up from a dream or a flashback, but she looks shook!

Dr. Brenner appeared to be killed by the Demogorgon in Season 1, but it was hinted in seasons 2 and 3 that he is still alive somewhere.

Stranger Things fans have so many questions about the new teaser.

The new trailer comes 15 months after Stranger Things debuted the first season 4 teaser. The first trailer was released last February and it teased the return of David Harbour’s Hopper, who many thought was dead.

Season 4 is currently in production, but Matt and Ross Duffer have already teased that it will be “the biggest and most frightening season yet.”
