We’re getting the best of both worlds today, thanks to Miley Cyrus. The “Angels Like You” singer wrote a heartfelt letter to her alter-ego Hannah Montana 15 years after the show’s debut.

Cyrus wrote Hannah Montana a letter, reflecting on her time “growing up” on the Disney Channel TV show, which premiered on March 24, 2006. Sweet niblets! Can you believe it's been that long?

“Dear @HannahMontana, I still love you 15 years later,” she captioned her Instagram post, sharing pictures of her two-page handwritten letter, written on glittery Hannah Montana-themed paper.

She began the letter by saying it’s been a long time “since the first time I slid those blonde bangs over my forehead in the best attempt to conceal my identity. Then slipped into a puke pink terry cloth robe with a bedazzled HM over the [heart].” All the feels are coming back to us!

“I didn’t know then... that is where you would live forever,” she wrote. “Not just in mine but millions of people around the world.”

Cyrus said that although Hannah was meant to be her “alter ego,” the character “held more of my identity in your glovette than I did in my bare hands.”

She said that Hannah was “a rocket that flew me to the moon and never brought me back down.”

The 28-year-old singer went on to recall the success that came from the series and how working on the show helped her with so many milestones in her life. Cyrus said that she has shared “many firsts” with Hannah, as well as “ups, downs, tears and laughs.”

“I lost my poppy, my dad’s father, while on set filming a corny episode of Season 1. He wanted to hold on long enough to catch the premiere on March 24th. He passed February 28th. He did get to see the commercial that ran during High School Musical which he claimed was one of the proudest moments of his lifetime and he was a badass democratic state legislature,” she shared.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer said that her heart was broken after her poppy passed but her heart was full knowing that she could carry on his name beside her dad's “through every credit.”

She said that she experienced falling in love for the first time in her Hannah Montanna years, as well as experiencing her first period “in a pair of white capris of course on the day a ‘cute guy’ was cast and asked to have lunch with me.”

Instead of having lunch with the “cute guy,” Cyrus spent her lunch break in the bathroom with her mom “sobbing and scrambling to find a pair of fresh denim.”

She said that she gained so many friends during her time on the show, including her costars Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso and Jason Earles, who became her family as she was “seeing them more than my own,” besides her dad, who she “drove to work with every day until my mom let me buy a Prius.”

Cyrus reflected on the show’s final episode, which aired in 2011, and she said it was “bittersweet” knowing that she was leaving Hannah “behind in Stage 9.”

“Hannah, I hope you hear me and believe those words are true,” Cyrus said. “You have all my love and utmost gratitude. Breathing life into you for those six years was an honour. I am indebted not only to you, Hannah, but to any and everyone who believed in me from the beginning. You all have my loyalty and deepest appreciation until the end. With all sincerity, I say, thank you!”

Cyrus also thanked the Disney team, fellow cast members, special guests, crew, agents and managers. She also thanked her mom and siblings “who so selflessly” underwent moving across the country.

In a strange twist of events, Hannah Montana actually responded to Cyrus’ letter. The official Hannah Montana Twitter account retweeted the letter and wrote, “Nice to hear from you @MileyCryus. It’s only been a decade.”

Fans of the hit Disney Channel show noticed that ahead of the show's anniversary, the Hannah Montana Instagram account had changed the profile picture and updated the bio to: "Your favorite teen pop sensation since 2006. Teen by day. popstar by night. Malibu, CA. Life’s what you make it. Let’s make it rock."

Eagle-eyed fans also noticed that the Hannah Montana Instagram account commented under Billie Eilish's blonde reveal post, writing, "I knew I was missing a wig."

There has been no news of a Hannah Montana reboot but Disney+ did add a new banner to their streaming service titled, "Hannah Montana: The Collection," with the caption "Celebrate the 15th Anniversary."

Never say never because Cyrus has teased that she's ready to bring Hannah back into our lives again during a radio interview with Carolina With Greg T in the Morning. "You know what honestly, I try to put that wig on all the time. She’s just in storage collecting dust and I’m ready to whip her out. The opportunity will present itself. I definitely would like to resurrect her at some point."

It looks like we will have to wait for more details on a potential reboot but we're still pretty pumped that she wrote a letter to her former superstar alter-ego to celebrate the anniversary.
