Keanu Reeves is the king of epic sequels, whether it be the
John Wick franchise,
The Matrix (they’re shooting the fourth movie as we speak!), or even
Bill & Ted which has made a triumphant return after a 29-year absence with
Bill & Ted Face The Music. So while we’re waiting for Keanu to get on board for
Point Break 2 (hey, it could still happen), Stephen Colbert dared to wonder how Reeves' iconic big-screen characters John Wick and Neo would do in a head-to-head battle. It's a question that has plagued mankind for long enough and Keanu ruminated on it momentarily before finally putting us out of our misery.“Aw man, well number one, they wouldn’t fight!” he told Colbert during a recent
The Late Show appearance.“What! What if Neo accidentally killed John Wick’s dog?” Colbert shot back, echoing our internal monologue.
Keanu entertained the idea, creating a scenario where Neo might run over John's dog with a car but it’s in "The Matrix" so the dog isn’t real. After laughing it off (c’mon Neo, this is serious), Keanu maintained his original stance: “No! They wouldn’t fight. John Wick would try to help Thomas Anderson [Neo's real name] out in the real world.”Welp, when you ask Keanu a question, you should expect the Most. Keanu. Answer. Ever.Video-chatting in from Berlin, Germany, direct from
The Matrix 4 set, Reeves was joined by his
Bill & Ted co-star Alex Winter from California to chat about the third installment in the
Bill & Ted series, after 1989’s
Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s
Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey. According to them, the only reason we have a trilogy now is because the fans made it happen.
