Fans were likely made aware of Megan the Stallion and Tory Lanez’s run in with the law Sunday morning and, well, let’s just say the story is still evolving. Based on reports from TMZ, it was believed that Lanez had been arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, while Megan (who was in the car) was listed as a victim and apparently taken to the hospital for a cut on her foot. But now Megan is using social media to set the record straight. The rapper took to Instagram Wednesday to tell fans that previous reports of the incident are “inaccurate.” In the post, she explained, “I’d like to set the record straight. On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.”
Megan continued, “I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets. I'm incredibly grateful to be alive and that I'm expected to make a full recovery. But it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.” She also noted that she’s currently ‘focused on her recovery’ so she can return to life and making music as soon as possible.
