H.E.R., Kehlani and Zendaya were almost in a band together

We almost lived in a world where H.E.R., Kehlani and Zendaya were in the ultimate supergroup together.

H.E.R. revealed the dream scenario during an interview with Carlos Watson where she casually shared the info while speaking on musicians she had met growing up in the California music scene.

“Dylan Wiggins, who is D’Wayne Wiggins’s son from Tony! Toni! Toné! – we used to be in a band together,” H.E.R. said. 

“We used to perform together when we were really young and Kehlani was actually in our band. We all used to sing together. Zendaya was going to be in it at one point. But yeah, they all grew up together. I came into the picture in Oakland and we used to perform together,” the Grammy winner revealed.

It turns out that the band’s name was Poplyfe and they competed on America’s Got Talent season 6 in 2011, according to BuzzFeed. Zendaya and H.E.R. were not part of the AGT run but Kehlani was definitely there and they finished in fourth place.

Once Kehlani left the band for her solo career, Zendaya performed with Poplyfe …. at the White House!
