In a cross-over we never expected, Justin Bieber has released a music video for his song “Hold On” dedicated to the Toronto Maple Leafs. He released the music video following the Maple Leafs’ third straight loss, telling the team and its fans to “Hold On.”

Bieber, who has been extremely vocal about his support of the Toronto team over the last few years, shared his love letter to the Maple Leafs with his video for his new song and it features a ton of behind-the-scenes footage from the team. Name a bigger Leafs fan. We'll wait.

The video begins with a shot of the city of Toronto before going inside the Scotiabank Arena. Bieber, who regularly attends Maple Leafs games with his wife Hailey, makes a couple of cameos throughout the video and we see clips of the NHL players on the ice and dancing in their dressing room.

“A love letter to the @MapleLeafs. Special thanks to the Leafs and the @NHL #HoldOn,” Bieber tweeted on Wednesday.

The Maple Leafs also shared the video with their fans. “The collab you didn’t know you needed. #LeafsForever x @JustinBieber #HoldOn,” the tweet read.

Bieber is a huge fan of the team, and he’s also friends with Toronto Maple Leafs’ Auston Matthews. The hockey player has been photographed in Bieber’s Drew House clothing line many times and the pair have hit the ice together.

They hung out together on Instagram Live last April to discuss their favourite Netflix series, facial hair and talk all things hockey for all their fans to see.

"Hold On" is Bieber's newest single off his forthcoming sixth studio album, Justice, set to drop on March 19th. He released the official music video for the song five days ago. The video was directed by Colin Tilley and it opens with Bieber on the run from the police, before suffering a gunshot wound.

The video flashes back and Beliebers learn why the singer is running from the police in the first place.

In his announcement for the new album, Bieber said he wanted it to "provide comfort" to his fans and listeners during these unprecedented times. “In a time when there’s so much wrong with this broken planet, we all crave healing – and justice – for humanity,” he wrote in the caption that accompanies a picture of the new album cover. “In creating this album, my goal is to make music that will provide comfort; to make songs that people can relate to, and connect to, so they feel less alone. Suffering, injustice and pain can leave people feeling helpless.”

“Music is a great way of reminding each other that we aren’t alone. Music can be a way to relate to one another and connect with one another,” he continued in his statement. “I know that I cannot simply solve injustice by making music, but I do know that if we all do our part by using our gifts to serve this planet, and each other, that we are that much closer to being united.”

The new album will include Bieber's 2020 singles, "Holy" (featuring Chance the Rapper), "Lonely" (featuring benny blanco), "Anyone" and his newest single, "Hold On."

Belibers can tune into the 2021 Grammys this weekend to see if the Canadian pop star takes home awards for his four nominations, including Best Pop Solo Performance (for “Yummy”), Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Intentions,” featuring Quavo), Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Country Duo/Group Performance (for his feature on Dan + Shay’s “10,000 Hours”).
