In Wonder Woman 1984, Chris Pine returns (from the dead?) as Diana’s love interest Steve Trevor, whose time-hopping appearance in the 1980s-set film provides some comic relief. Learning about new inventions like radar and fanny packs, Trevor tries to support Diana in her mission and adapt to his new surroundings, which includes wearing the occasional pair of parachute pants. “Does everybody parachute now?” asks the WWI pilot. Fair question. The upcoming sequel also returns to the land of the Amazons through flashbacks to Diana’s childhood. That means the return of Robin Wright as Wonder Woman's Aunt Antiope and Connie Nielsen as her mother, Hippolyta. Plus, a lot of other women no one is going to mess with.Gadot celebrated the trailer’s release on Twitter, telling fans that the new film is “bigger, grander, w/ every detail perfected. We busted our butts off for this film and we can’t wait to share it with you in theaters.”I was definitely hoping for more practical effects/prosthetic work on Cheetah ala PLANET OF THE APES but this is completely sufficient for me.
I think her overall design looks great. #WW84 pic.twitter.com/VcxV2d0Ma5— Jesabel (@JesabelRaay) August 22, 2020

Wonder Woman 1984 was originally scheduled to arrive in theatres this past June but has since been delayed until October 2. Of course, that too could change, but at least fans have a cool new trailer to analyze until the film arrives.[video_embed id='1979871']BEFORE YOU GO: Kristen Wiig welcomes twins via surrogate[/video_embed]Thrilled to be part of the #DCFanDome fun... thanks for having me! #WW84❤️ @PattyJenks @GalGadot @PedroPascal1 #KristenWiig #ChrisPine pic.twitter.com/1IGD119h7D
