Real-life couple Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are teaming up once again to save Christmas. The actors are co-starring in the follow-up to 2018’s holiday family film
The Christmas Chronicles with this year’s—wait for it—
The Christmas Chronicles 2. What the film lacks in a creative title, it makes up for in impressive special effects. The new film features Russell returning as #BeardGoals Santa Claus, who in the
first film was ambushed by the brother and sister duo of rebellious 16-year-old Teddy (
The Babysitter’s Judah Lewis) and precocious 11-year-old Kate (
Big Little Lies’ Darby Camp). In the original film, Goldie Hawn appears briefly as Mrs. Claus.
The Christmas Chronicles 2 picks up with Teddy and Kate on vacation with their mom (
Father of the Bride's Kimberly Williams-Paisley), her new boyfriend (Tyrese Gibson) and his young son Jack, played by Jahzir Bruno (
The Witches). Kate and Jack find themselves transported to the North Pole by a hotel worker, who is actually the magical, mythical Belsnickel and will stop at nothing to ruin Christmas.Played by
Deadpool 2 actor Julian Dennison,
and not Rainn Wilson, Belsnickel makes his way to the North Pole too and steals the powerful Christmas star, which keeps the Clauses and elves cloaked in secrecy. Will Santa and Mrs. Claus be able to save Christmas? Normally, we would assume "yes" for a family-friendly film, but it’s 2020, so who knows?[video_embed id='2057202']RELATED: Sarah Paulson tells us she was intimidated by her role as Nurse Ratched [/video_embed]Set to debut on November 25,
