Ariana Grande is using her time in quarantine to work on creative projects. It’s possible those projects include a new album, but that hasn’t been confirmed. What has been confirmed is that Grande is a big fan Adam Sandler’s 1998 film The Waterboy. With production on movies put on hold indefinitely and sporting events everywhere cancelled, it’s nice to know we can rely on popstar Ariana to deliver the foosball content we’re so desperately missing.Grande has been enlisting the help of her family, friends and former co-stars to recreate her favourite scenes from The Waterboy. Depending on how long the COVID-19 global pandemic lasts, there’s a good chance that Grande will eventually be able to piece together the entire movie in two-minute clips. That’s a lot of high quality H20.[video_embed id='1931550']RELATED: Ariana Grande shows off her naturally curly hair in self-isolation[/video_embed]On Sunday, Grande and her Victorious co-star and friend Elizabeth Gilles along with actor Aaron Simon Gross, recreated their first scene from The Waterboy. Grande took the lead as Sandler’s Bobby Boucher, complete with the character’s ‘formal wear’ wardrobe. Sharing the two-minute clip on Twitter and Instagram, Grande wrote “and how’d u all make use of YOUR day?” Grande’s productivity paid off and the video received the Sandler seal of approval. On April 8, Grande and Gilles once again showed off their love for The Waterboy and this time enlisted Grande’s mother Joan Grande to take on Kathy Bates' iconic role as Mama. Ariana returned as Bobby, this time with a black eye, and Gilles played Vicki Vallencourt, a role that was originated by Fairuza Balk. Sure, Ari may be a Grammy winner, but it looks like her mother Joan is poised to be the biggest start in the Grande house. Nice hit, mama!Sandler once again co-signed on the performance, noting that Gilles and the Grande women chose a particularly difficult scene to perform. “A tough day for Bobby...Vicki...and Mama,” tweeted Sandler. This isn't the first time Ariana has come out as a fan of comedy. Her sweet devotion to Jim Carrey's comedic styings resulted in a cameo on his show Kidding, where she appeared as Pickle Fairy. Does this mean a Sandler-Grande collab is in the cards once productions are back in action? Only time will tell.Grande isn’t the only person who still loves the critical failure fan favourite. Sandler clearly still holds a special place for the sports comedy in his heart and after being shut out of the 2020 Academy Awards for his critically-acclaimed role in 2019’s Uncut Gems, he tweeted his congratulations to ‘Mama’ Kathy Bates, who received a nomination for her role in Richard Jewell. We have to agree with Mama–Sandler was robbed. While Grande has been recreating The Waterboy and growing out her natural curls, Sandler has been working on music inspired by the ongoing global pandemic. On Monday, he teamed up with fellow SNL alum Jimmy Fallon to release the QuaranTune “Don’t Touch Grandma.” The pair’s new song was an ode to physical distancing. Last week, Sandler released his first quarantine-inspired track with the aptly title “The Quarantine Song” and dedicated it to frontline workers. The track also included a line about grandmas, because Sandler is both a mama’s boy and a grandma’s boy.[video_embed id='1935635']BEFORE YOU GO: David Foster says Katharine McPhee gave him a quarantine haircut[/video_embed]
