Anna Kendrick appeared in four of the five Twilight films between 2008 and 2011 and although she was part of one of the biggest film franchises in history, her memories of time spent filming on location aren’t great. Vampires may enjoy overcast and rainy climates that hide their sparkly skin, but some members of the undead would prefer a warm beach.Kendrick spoke to Vanity Fair this month and broke down her biggest roles. Remembering (she does remember) her time spent playing Jessica, friend to Kristen Stewart’s Bella, Kendrick said that filming Twilight in Portland, Oregon had its drawbacks. She ‘Twihard’ to enjoy it, but no one likes wet shoes. We don’t get many chances to make Twilight jokes in 2020, so please indulge us."I just remember my Converse being completely soaked through and feeling like, 'You know, this is a really great group of people and I'm sure that we would be friends at a different time, but I want to murder everyone," Kendrick recalled. The actor, who is currently starring in the new rom com series Love Life on Crave, admitted there was one upside to the wet conditions. “It was also kind of bonding. There was something about it—like you go through some trauma event. Like you imagine people who survive a hostage situation and you’re kind of bonded for life."
Kendrick said that things did improve when filming New Moon, because obviously she’s Team Jacob. Oh yeah, we’re still going. “The second movie, for whatever reason, the weather wasn’t quite as intense. That’s where we all got to know each other a little bit better.”The five Twilight films were shot over a three-year period and Kendrick admitted it became difficult to differentiate the installments. “They all start to blend into one at some point because my whole job was to just to go, ‘This whole family of very pale people who we never see eating—they’re really weird, right? Anyway…’” joked Kendrick.[video_embed id='1974186']RELATED: 'Harry Potter' actor fires back [/video_embed]That actor also revealed that she still receives praise for a speech her character gives as the valedictorian during the high school graduation scene. “The thing that is happening is you are looking at Kristen Stewart's reaction to that speech and that is the thing that is moving you," said Kendrick. "Because I was like 'I did alright' but I was just kind of like 'I dunno I'm reading the speech' and then it cuts to Kristen. She's so moved because she's so talented. People are like, 'That speech is so amazing,' and I'm like, 'No it's just her, she's great.'"In addition to Twilight, Kendrick also talked about her Academy Award nominated role in Up In The Air with George Clooney, remembering her famous co-star living up to his hype as one of Hollywood’s classiest actors.“On my first day, he was like, ‘Do you get nervous? I get nervous.’ In retrospect, bullsh*t. No, he doesn’t! But it was such a generous thing to say to me and I believed it at the time. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re the same,’” said Kendrick. “He’s so good at disarming people and getting them to forget that he’s international movie star George Clooney.”[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Watch this majestic kitty catch treats with its paws [/video_embed]
