The biggest night in Hollywood is just around the corner! The 96th Academy Awards is coming back on March 10th, but not at its regular 8 p.m. timeslot, this year it's airing an HOUR EARLIER at 7 p.m. EDT/4 p.m. PT on CTV in Canada.
This year will be pretty star-studded with many of Hollywood's hottest stars on the ballot. From Ryan Gosling and Cillian Murphy to Emma Stone and Danielle Brooks, we're going to fill you in on all of your Oscars questions to prepare you for all that's to come on March 10th.
Guess who's back? None other than Jimmy Kimmel. This is the late-night host's fourth time hosting the biggest night in Hollywood (and his second year in a row). Hopefully, this time around he won't fall asleep on the stage during someone's acceptance speech... again!
It also turns out that we have the 'Barbie' movie to thank for Jimmy's return!
Not only are the movie stars nominated this year stars to look out for, but this year they are bringing some pretty heavy hitters to present the prestigious awards of the night. The full list of presenters hasn't been announced yet, but here are a few of the celebs we will see on March 10th:
This year's award show will be not only a big night for movies but also a big night for music! ALL of the artists nominated for 'Best Original Song' are performing at this year's Oscars. We are going to see stellar performances from Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell, Jon Batiste, Becky G, Scott George and the Osage Singers, and of course the most shocking performance of the night: Ryan Gosling alongside Mark Ronson.
AND OF COURSE the most *SHOCKING* performance of the night:
Trust us, we will have our popcorn ready and we WILL be seated for this year's performances.
What an incredible year for cinema, it will be a close race. Oppenheimer is leading the nominations with a whopping 13 nods across several categories, Poor Things followed with 11, Killers of the Flower Moon with 10, and mega-blockbuster hit Barbie earned 8.
