Actors typically like to keep all the chemistry for their on-screen moments, but in the case of reunited co-stars Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac, the pair kept some in the tank for promo. That’s just good business. The Scenes from a Marriage co-stars, who previously starred together in 2014’s A Most Violent Year, stole the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival this past weekend with an arm rub heard round the world. If you weren’t planning on watch the HBO Max miniseries before, you will now.
The loving, or friendly, or steamy, or sensual, or innocent – we really don’t know where to look in our thesaurus – moment was caught on camera and slowed down for the Twitterverse, because somethings just look way hotter in slow motion;
And yeah, Twitter noticed.
The pair’s red carpet chemistry is reminding people of two other co-stars who put in the work during their promo tour.
Chastain has also noticed that her red carpet moment with Isaac has made a headline or two thousand and has now responded to the viral moment, which TBH is pretty darn hot. Keeping her job as an executive producer on Scenes from a Marriage in check, Chastain capitalized on the arm kiss with a reminder that the miniseries premieres on September 12. Check your local listings/moisturize your upper arm accordingly.
And bring on the next Addams Family remake.
While we appreciate a good arm nuzzle as much as the next person and applaud Chastain for not only baring but lifting her arms on the red carpet (women, if you know, you know), this is simply a case of two fronds to the ond. The actors have been buddies for over 20 years, first meeting at the prestigious Juilliard Drama School (yas to the drama). Isaac is married to director Elvira Lind, and Chastain said ‘I do’ to Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, a fashion executive, back in 2017. Everything is totally cool.
Mostly.
Now would be a great time for Chastain to come out with her own line of deodorant because it would literally sell out in seconds. Get those sponsorships, Jess.
