Listen: when you've got Lady Gaga starring in a massive, highly-anticipated blockbuster that doubles as a fashion flick, you are guaranteed show-stopping behaviour, from her looks to her arm candy to whatever persona she chooses to embody on any given red carpet.

Such was very much the case at November 9's glitzy London premiere for House of Gucci, the upcoming film in which Gaga plays Patrizia Reggiani, the former wife of Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver), who ruled the fashion house back in the day. The film (you know the one where Gaga stayed in character and accent for nine months) tells the tale of how trouble brewed between the two over the later years of their relationship, resulting in Reggiani hiring a hitman to have him killed, and afterwards being dubbed the "Black Widow." Um, spoiler alert!

Much like her Oscar-nominated (and honestly, incomparable) turn in 2019's A Star Is Born, Gaga is already being lauded by critics. But on Tuesday, she didn't just wow on screen but also stole the spotlight on the carpet.

The singer stunned in a flowing violet, chiffon turtleneck cape gown by Gucci, naturally, which she paired with fishnet stockings, gloves with crystal embellishments and tall platform boots. And then there was the bleach blonde hair and violet eyeshadow. A vision!

Much of the cast came to play, actually, nearly meeting Gaga at her level. Jared Leto impressed (after recently walking the actual Gucci runway) in a gorgeous teal velvet shawl lapel jacket with satin trim, also by Gucci, with grey leather boots and a crystal-embellished clutch.

Salma Hayek, meanwhile, wore custom Gucci: specifically, a shimmering gold V-neck gown with cap sleeves and silver metallic platform sandals.

Then came Adam Driver, who many awaited with baited breath. Only for him to show up in...Burberry. Now, while Burberry is absolutely lovely, it seems Driver did not read the room, or the script, or the title of his film. His (assumed) excuse? Driver is the new face of Burberry Hero, the fashion house's latest fragrance. Fine!

A little contrast never hurt anyone, and the red carpet pictures were . . . pretty epic.

We love Adam Driver, always have (and hopefully always will) and one thing is clear: he had fun and always seems to, especially when his co-stars are more flashy.

Whilst playing prop to Gaga, he appeared more than happy to do so, smiling big like we rarely get to see him do. In this case, it's as Twitter user @alltoowelladam put it: "adam driver doing the prom pose with his costars gotta be one of my favorite genres." Absolutely.

But does it compare to the days of Gaga and Cooper? Mmmm... well. The tweet below says it all.
