Things seem to be getting a little heated between exes Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, and now their big feelings are spilling over onto social media. Over the weekend, in what seemingly started out as a fun Halloween post, the pair quickly got into it for everyone to see.On November 1, Green shared a photo of himself and the couple’s four-year-old son Journey River, dressed in costume for Halloween. “Hope you all had a good Halloween!!” he wrote,
as per People. Shortly after, Fox jumped into the comments with some strong opinions about the fact that Green included their son in the post. “Why does Journey have to be in this picture? It's not hard to crop them out. Or choose photos that they aren't in,” she wrote. “I had a great Halloween with them yesterday, and yet notice how absent they are from my social media. I know you love your kids. But I don't know why you can't stop using them to posture [sic] via Instagram,” she continued.Fox wasn’t done there though, as she went on to accuse Green of trying to paint a picture of her as an absent mother to their three children. “You're so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I'm an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year,” she wrote. “You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human! Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?”Following Fox’s comments, Green took down the original post and shared a new one of just himself in costume. But judging by the comments section in the new post, several fans saw Fox’s original accusations and questioned why she went public with them.
Green and Fox share three sons—Noah, 8, Bodhi, 6, and Journey—and Green also has an 18-year-old son named Kassius, whom he shares with ex Vanessa Marcil. Green and Fox were married for 10 years before calling it quits at the end of 2019. Fox then began dating Machine Gun Kelly after the pair
met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass, and they’ve been
pretty public with their coupledom ever since. It’s not completely clear what exactly prompted Fox’s response to the Halloween photos, but in early October after Green was unmasked as the Giraffe on this season of
The Masked Singer he shared an Instagram post of his brood asleep on the couch. "I was super excited for my kids to watch [Masked Singer] with me... should be on earlier in LA. They fell asleep after 15 min,” he wrote. Then, in the comments, amid the praise and other observations, plenty of fans also questioned where Fox was and accused her of being absent. Green did not respond.
Fox also chose to post her own Halloween images over the weekend,
sharing photos of herself and her friends. “Really nailing this slutty Halloween thing,” she joked about her full-coverage wizard costume. Notably, the comments are turned off.Fans may be divided, but there is one notable person who has chosen a side.
Vanessa Marcil backed Fox on Instagram following the entire Halloween exchange. “Like I said… the truth always comes out in the end…” she wrote alongside the hashtag #ImWithYouSister. Although Green and Marcil were never married, the pair became engaged in July 2001 after meeting in 1999 on the set of
Beverly Hills 90210. They called it quits two years later in 2003, the same year they were planning on getting hitched.[video_embed id='1965505']RELATED: Megan Fox told Brian Austin Green she's happier alone [/video_embed]In an Instagram post earlier this year Marcil admitted that she was never in love with Green. “[I was] always honest with him about that. … I did however feel sorry for him. I still do,” she wrote,
according to Us Weekly. “He’s a very angry/sad human being who still has too much shame to take full responsibility for his actions as a father. I consciously knew that I could work through childhood traumas through him and I have. I have great empathy towards him and other people who are still in pain from their childhoods.”This past August, Green took to Instagram Live to dish about his relationship with Fox, whom he met on the set of
Hope & Faith in 2004. Fox was 18 at the time, and Green was 30. “We had an amazing 15-year relationship. We have three beautiful kids. We shared a lot together and we really went through a lot together,” Green said, as per the
People article. “Right now the paths are different and she is on her path doing what she feels she needs to be doing to be happy and I’m on my path doing what I feel I need to do to be happy and it’s not for a lack of love for the kids or lack of being responsible.”[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Can you see the face in the window of this old spooky house?
