While so much can be said about Stranger Things, from a hair standpoint, the only one who stands out is Steve Harrington, played by Joe Keery. The character's hair is so grand it's almost an experience as his bouffant falls just dreamily so. But that was then, and this is now, and you may need to prepare yourselves because, trust us, you aren't ready. If you recall, back in Season 2, Steve told his new pal Dustin just how he achieved such a sweet 'do, which basically calls for a Costco-sized can of hair spray and a little inspiration from Farrah Fawcett. Keery, on the other hand, claims he simply has genetics to thank (lucky bugger). "It's just my parents' heads," he told Vulture in 2017, proving he is truly tress-blessed. So to go from that gloriousness to his newest haircut is a damn shame.Keery's mane, which once defied gravity, now falls downwards, like he got caught in a torrential downpour. Maybe that big hair was just way too '80s, and the actor wanted a fresh look as we quickly approach 2020. In any case, Joe debuted a brand-new style while attending a Chanel dinner at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles last week, and the epic coif that was once a character in its own right is now gone. Because Keery has done this.

What do you all think about the new hairstyle? ?

It's actually starting to look a little like a combed-down version of his co-star Charlie Heaton's hair (with a little Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber thrown in).

Really, though, this is kind of like the Upside Down: Hair Edition, because as Keery starts to channel Will Byers, the actor who portrays Will is going the way of Steve.
Stranger things have happened, we suppose.
Speaking of hairy, Harry Styles is also sporting a similar haircut, which may mean this could be the mens' hair trend of the season. But we don't think fans are in agreement. Once pics of Joe's hair hit social media, many expressed their shock at the drastic change, all while mourning the loss of Steve's classic 'do. We get it. Change is never easy. A little dramatic? Maybe. It is just hair, after all, and if it's as easy to get and maintain as he says, Keery's will grow back just fine and fabulously. Hey, at least Joe will always have hats.
