Social media suspects Joe Biden is trolling Donald Trump’s MAGA hat

Since winning the American Presidential election officially on Saturday, former Vice President and current President-elect Joe Biden and his family have been reveling in the good news with some lovely photographs from inside their home. Dr. Jill Biden (all stan the new FLOTUS) shared this cute pic on Twitter of her and her husband holding up a sign that reads, “Dr. & Vice President Biden live here” except Jill is covering up the “vice” with her hand because... well, you know. It’s super cute and whimsical, but many people on social media noted that Joe was wearing a verrry interesting hat.If you zoom into the hat, it clearly reads, “We Just Did. 46.” The 46 is obviously a nod to the fact that Joe is will soon be the 46^th POTUS. But social media has a theory on the “We Just Did,” and, if true, it is trolling to the extreme.

For over 4 years now, Donald Trump has been distributing those infamous, red, “Make America Great Again” hats that were used to great effect during his 2016 campaign and throughout his administration. So could Joe’s “We Just Did” be a direct comment on MAGA? The internet has some thoughts.

Well, when you do a side-by-side comparison like that, it’s hard not to see Biden’s hat as a direct commentary on Trump’s divisive administration and controversial approach to politics. MAGA hats have become a symbol to many of white supremacy, alt-right politics, xenophobia, fascism, queerphobia, and the oppression of women.
