It's Princess Charlotte's first day of school but unlike Prince George, it wasn't just their dad on dropoff duty. The four-year-old had her mom, Duchess Kate, holding her hand, while Prince William had George. The only thing missing? Little Louis.Wearing the mandatory Thomas's Battersea school uniforms, Charlotte and George looked raring to go. Their parents looks spiffy as well, with Will in a blue jacket and brown pants, and Kate in a floral printed dress (yes, the same one she wore to Harry and Meghan's wedding rehearsal). Both parents had their children's matching schoolbags as they walked over to greet the head of lower school, Helen Haslem, reports People. After getting the formalities out of the way, William can be overheard telling Haslem how "very excited" Charlotte is about her first day as the five of them head off to take Charlotte and George to their respective classrooms. Lottie, fiddling with her ponytail before going through the doors, might be the cutest thing ever. Because, you know, she has too look just right. This dropoff is the first time Kate's been able to take part. She was absent from George's first day at school two years prior because she will suffering from terrible morning sickness while pregnant with Louis. And last year, she likely had her hands full with Louis and left Will to it.

Princess Charlotte arrives for her first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea, joining her older brother Prince George ✏️??

For Charlotte's Reception year (which is basically like nursery school or junior kindergarten), the goal for Thomas's Battersea students is that they "play and explore; make choices and learn to have a go and persevere; be creative and solve problems; form good relationships; be safe, secure and happy," according to the school's website.George, on the other hand, is now entering Year 2 which will delve into the usual subjects (maths, English, science, history and geography) as well as art, drama, physical education and ballet. If you recall, it was that last component that had Good Morning America host Lara Spencer apologizing profusely after comments she made about the school's curriculum went viral.People previously reported that because George and Charlotte "are close in age," they spend a lot of time together. But they also have very different personalities; George is quieter, "more reserved," while Charlotte is a bit of a ham and is significantly "more outgoing." Now that they're in the same school, Charlotte will likely find her own circle of friends before trying to find her brother during recess and breaks. Which he's probably fine with; a four-year-old could ruin his rep.
