Penn Badgley is going to be a dad

Penn Badgley has come a long ways since his Lonely Boy days on Gossip Girl. It’s been a slice watching his tumultuous love life as the stalking murderer on You, but it's also heartwarming to see that the actor has found some actual happiness in his personal life.The 33-year-old and his wife, singer and doula Domino Kirke, announced on February 10 that they’re about to have their first child together. And while the announcement, which Kirke made on Instagram, is a happy one, it comes after a long and hard road that involved two miscarriages for the couple.“On the road again... pregnancy after loss is whole other thing. After two miscarriages in a row we were ready to call it. I stopped trusting my body and started to accept the fact that I was done,” Kirke, who also had a son in 2009 from a previous relationship, wrote. “As a birth attendant, I’ve seen and heard it all. It takes everything I’ve got to detach lovingly from the losses I’ve been present for and be in my own experience. When I was pregnant at 25, I knew nothing. I had no community. I dove in blissfully unaware about birth and its mysteries. Now, with 10 years worth of experience to pull from, I treasure my birth community and the knowledge I have. You’re already teaching us how to stay in the day in a way we’ve never had to, little one. Thank you.”

They tied the knot three years later in a courthouse ceremony in New York, and had a bigger shindig that summer with fellow celebs like Zac Posen and Debra Messing in attendance. This month marks the lovebirds’ third wedding anniversary.“A truly radiant soul, you seem to spark alight almost everyone you meet, like a 99% success rate. It’s really impressive, and quite mysterious,” Badgley wrote in an Instagram post in December. “You encourage others to be honest, and brave, and gentle, and expansive.
