Right now, we find ourselves at an important moment in historyone which, hopefully, will continue driving meaningful change to unite communities and dismantle systemic injustice. As people around the world take to social media to amplify and listen to black voices, share resources and inspire action, celebrities and people with considerable platforms are stepping up to the plate in a big way. Joining the ranks of countless celebs and powerful figures who have recently pledged funds to Black Lives Matter initiatives, P.K. Subban donated $50,000 to the GoFundMe page set up for George Floyds 6-year-old daughter, Gianna. The New Jersey defenceman announced the donation in a video he shared to Twitter on June 3 with a simple (but impactful) caption: "Change the game." In the video, Subban goes on to explain,Change the game means change the narrative. The narrative has been the same, no justice  but there needs to be justice. Change needs to come. We need everyone. I want to turn my attention to Gianna, George Floyds 6-year-old daughter, Subban continued. I know that she has a GoFundMe page and this morning I donated $50,000. Adding to that, Subban revealed that the NHL has agreed to match his pledge for the cause.
