Miley Cyrus had a ‘silent’ birthday

Miley Cyrus rang in her 27^th birthday over the weekend with a party that was a far cry from the singer’s Bangerz-era of hard partying. The popstar is currently on vocal rest after undergoing surgery on her vocal cords and enjoyed a ‘silent’ birthday. Honestly, we think we may make our next party silent. It literally sounds very relaxing.Cyrus posted pics from her celebration, which included mom Tish Cyrus and boyfriend Cody Simpson. The Australian singer has stayed by his girlfriend’s side throughout her procedure and recovery, with the pair keeping busy uploading cute pics and videos to social media. Cute, but some raunchy options as well. It’s nice to have a mix of content.Cyrus updated her IG stories with her quiet and subdued party, posting a picture of the singer blowing out the candles on her cake and captioning the shot “I will never forget my silent 27^th birthday. Thanks to my friends and family who made it so special.”Rocking a crown like the birthday princess that she is, Miley sat below two large ‘27’ balloons in a second shot. Cyrus was quick to point out that she wasn’t spending her birthday on her phone ignoring her guests, including Simpson, but that she now uses an app to help her communicate while she’s on vocal rest, adding that unfortunately the technology “…really botches the comedic timing.”Earlier in the day, Miley got a birthday trim from mom Tish, which seems like a bit of a dangerous move when you’re not allowed to speak. Let’s hope the app was fast with translating “No bowl cuts, mom.”Miley got lots of love on her big day from Cody, who posted several pictures of the pair together on his IG stories as well as a video of the couple in the bathroom, where Simpson used the good acoustics to jokingly serenade his “birthday baby.”

The singer was currently working on new music and put recording on hold to undergo surgery, which according to People Magazine was a success. Cyrus has been on vocal rest for weeks, with the singer expected to make a full recovery.This weekend’s new pictures of Cyrus and Simpson together show that the pair are continuing to go strong after only a few months of dating. The couple have been seemingly inseparable, with Simpson accompanying Cyrus to her brother Braison’s wedding in November. On October 18, Simpson released the song “Golden Thing,” which he wrote for Miley.The longtime friends sparked romance rumors in early October after Cyrus split from girlfriend Katilynn Carter. Cyrus’s whirlwind year has also included the end of her seven-month marriage to Liam Hemsworth, with the pair having an on-again off-again relationship for ten years. As for Simpson, he previously dated model Gigi Hadid.
