Lenny Kravitz lost his iconic sunglasses and he's asking fans for help

Lenny Kravitz needs our help.Following a weekend concert at the Shrine in Los Angeles, the legendary Fly Away musician took to Twitter to ask fans if anyone has come across a beloved pair of vintage sunglasses, which went missing during the show.Now that we’re thinking about it, have we ever seen Lenny Kravitz not wearing sunglasses (or what about his iconic, oversized scarf)…? Either way, it seems these glasses were particularly sentimental, and Kravitz has even set up an email dedicated to their swift return. Kind of like a tips hot-line but, you know, for sunglasses.

I’m missing this pair of sunglasses after my show in LA at the Shrine this weekend. They are incredibly sentimental to me, they are vintage and they belonged to a family member. Fans are taking his plight seriously (I mean, we all know the feeling of losing one of our favourite fashion staples — especially if it holds sentimental value), and have retweeted his social media plea almost 4,000 times. Kravitz can also be seen wearing the classic frames in many of his pictures on Instagram, so we don’t doubt his attachment to them.

This isn’t the first time a celebrity has expressed their faith in humanity (AKA their dedicated fan base) to try and locate a missing belonging. Although Missy Elliott left the 2019 MTV VMAs with the prestigious Vanguard Award in hand a few weeks ago, one of her diamond chains went missing backstage in the process.Naturally, the pop-star took to Instagram to not only ask for the chain back, but offer a reward for its return.

Celebs aren’t always enlisting the help of their fans to locate material goods, however. On the Saturday of her 31st birthday, famed dancer and actress Julianne Hough shared an Instagram post detailing her missing dog, and a number to call for information. Koda, her husky, went missing somewhere in the Runyon Canyon after slipping away from a dog sitter. Fortunately, her social media efforts paid off, and Koda was later returned home safe and sound.Kravitz hasn’t shared any further information to explain why those glasses hold such a special place in his heart, but we can only hope that they make their way back into his (forever influential) wardrobe.In the meantime, fans can catch him on his worldwide “Raise Vibration” tour.
