Lenny Kravitz gushes about future son-in-law Channing Tatum

Gone are the days when the father of the bride had an acrimonious and suspicious attitude toward his daughter’s partner - at least for Lenny Kravitz and Channing Tatum.

Rock musician and singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz is showing that he has nothing but love and respect for anyone his daughter Zoë Kravitz dates. 

Now that “he Batman star is engaged to Magic Mike star Channing Tatum, the Are You Gonna Go My Way? rocker is gushing about his love for Channing and how they communicate.

"I love him. He's a great guy," Lenny told E! News at the Critics Choice Association's Celebration of Cinema and Television: Honoring Black, Latino and AAPI Achievements. 

"He's a great guy. We're very close, and we have a great line of communication."

He then added, “We hang out like you hang out with your family. We're together whenever we can."

The Let Love Rule crooner isn’t the only man in Zoë’s life that absolutely adores the 21 Jump Street star.

Lenny’s ex-wife and Zoë’s mother, The Cosby Show actress Lisa Bonet, was married for a long time to Aquaman star Jason Momoa, and Momoa and Channing have posted pics to Instagram of them buddying around and having a blast in support of Zoë’ career.

In February 2022, the pair posed for two photographs, arms wrapped around each other, laughing and throwing the devil sign, as they boarded a flight to The Batman premiere.

In November 2023, a source told People that Jason thinks the pair are great together. "The engagement was happy news for Jason. He loves both Channing and Zoë. He thinks they are a great couple. Jason is their biggest supporter."

As we reported in 2021, Channing and Zoë started a working relationship when he was tapped to star as the lead in her directorial debut film, Pussy Island" Soon, rumours of a romance were all over Hollywood and the internet.

Earlier this year, People reported the couple was engaged after two years of dating. An insider told the outlet that "It took him a while to feel happy and to find a new life,” after his divorce from Jenna Dewan. “He can't stop smiling around [Zoë]. They are very cute together." 

Zoë was previously married to Karl Glusman, they divorced after four years of marriage in 2021.
