Kristen Stewart says she probably would have married Robert Pattinson

Kristen Stewart may have spent years being coy about her relationship with Twilight costar Robert Pattinson, but the actor is now opening up about their pair’s romance. In an interview with Howard Stern on Tuesday, Stewart spoke candidly about the pair’s highly publicized relationship, which saw two of the biggest stars in the world dating from 2009 to 2013.Asking how serious the couple was at the time, Stern questioned Stewart on whether she would have married Pattinson, with the Charlie’s Angels star admitting she likely would have said ‘yes’ if he asked. “I wanted to … yeah,” she said, later adding, “I don’t know, I’m not a super-duper traditionalist, but at the same time … every relationship I’ve ever been in, I thought that was it. I’ve never really been the most casual person.”Stewart says that she has many regrets from the pair’s relationship, including their response to the media craze around them. “… You deprive yourself of so many experiences,” Stewart said. “We didn’t walk down the street holding hands because we were like, ‘We don’t wanna give it to ’em.’ But then, we didn’t get to walk down the street holding hands, and it sucked.”The actor also told Stern that the pair kept quiet about their relationship to protect themselves and because they thought not speaking about their romance would lessen the interest around it. "Because I was so self-conscious about seeming like an attention-seeker," added Stewart. "We were together for years, that was my first [love]." After years of being advised to hide her sexuality, Stewart publicly came out and has had a series of relationship with women. She’s currently dating screenwriter Dylan Meyer and confirmed to Stern that she plans on proposing. “I can’t f–king wait,” said Stewart, who added that she’s trying to take her time, but noted that "good things happen fast." “I have a couple of plans that I know would be the coolest thing to do, that I think would be pretty undeniable.”“The first time that I told her that I loved her, we were like sitting in this random bar,” said Stewart. “I‘ve known her for like six years, but we only started seeing each other like two weeks in and it was just like, it was literally like the day that I met her, all bets were off.” Stewart said the pair initially met on a movie set, but then lost contact. “I hadn’t seen her in, like, two years and she had just walked up to a friends’ birthday party and I was just, like, ‘Where have you been and how have I not known you?’”Now we'll just patiently await the proposal story...
