While the latest trend in family photos includes physically distanced photoshoots that often include parents and kids standing on their porches and in backyards far from photographers, the royals are continuing to show their self-reliance by conducting their own photo sessions. The latest set of pictures taken by the multi-talented mom of three, the Duchess of Cambridge, have been released to celebrate Prince George’s seventh birthday. No surprise, the pics are supes ca-hute.Just in time for the Prince’s birthday on July 22, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have uploaded two new snaps of the not-so-tiny tot looking excited to celebrate his big day. The two new images show the prince looking happy while enjoying the great outdoors. The first image appears to have been taken last month and shows Prince George wearing the same green polo from his family photoshoot for dad Prince William’s birthday. In the photo uploaded in June, the Duke is smiling and seated on a swing while surrounded by his three children, including Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The second shot was a more candid picture of the foursome wrestling in the grass. Showing that the royals are just like most families, mom Kate acted as the photographer and did not appear in any of the images. Oh, moms.

The second new picture of Prince George features the seven-year-old in an army fatigue t-shirt that actually looks slightly worn. Huh. Maybe the royals really are like the rest of us!

Prince George’s new milestone marks the fourth birthday that the family of five have celebrated this year in isolation. In April, the family marked Prince Louis’ second birthday with sweet pictures of the toddler showing off his paint covered hands. Big sister Princess Charlotte struck a more grown up pose for her May birthday photoshoot to celebrate turning five (that’s a whole hand). All three children and dad William have had their birthday photos shot by Kate this year. For many reasons, let’s hope isolation is over by the time the Duchess celebrates her birthday next January.Since the end of March, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been isolating at their Anmer Hall residence in Norfolk. The home, which was a gift from Queen Elizabeth for the couple’s wedding, has provided a sanctuary away from the family’s busy life in London. Since entering isolation, royal fans have seen more of William and Kate, who have been active on social media throughout the pandemic. Throwing themselves into their efforts to help the millions of British residents affected by COVID-19, William and Kate have been conducting video calls with members of their various charities. These organizations range in scope, including helping to feed those in need, providing mental health resources for frontline workers and aiding children whose parents are essential workers. In another COVID twist, William and Kate have also been sharing more photos of their children since lockdown began earlier this year. Following in his late mother’s footsteps, William has been involving Prince George and Princess Charlotte in some of the couple’s charitable endeavors, including delivering food to elderly people in isolation.[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Man rescues orphaned baby squirrel and feeds it formula[/video_embed]
