Bieber revealed the finished product in a second post, which shows the new piece of art spanning the entire length of the singer’s throat. It’s unclear what inspired the rose symbol, but we’re just going to assume Bieber got the tat for wife Hailey.View this post on Instagram
Bieber’s latest piece of ink was the handiwork of celebrity tattoo artist Doctor Woo (real name: Brian Woo). Past celebrity clients of Doctor Woo have included Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Sam Smith, Cara Delevingne, Olivia Wilde, Brooklyn Beckham, Lucy Hale, Lea Michele, Becky G, and Zach Braff, who recently went to Doctor Woo to get a tattoo in tribute to his late friend, Broadway performer Nick Cordero. Like Bieber, singer and actor Hilary Duff and Riverdale star Lili Reinhart both went to the famous tattoo artist for a rose design. In addition to his newest tattoo, Bieber also spent much of the long weekend sharing other personal moments on his Instagram page, including a video of the singer performing a new original song. The Grammy winner appears to simply be having a bit of fun messing around on the piano, but when you’re the Biebs, even singing the words on the back of a cereal box can be a catchy jam.
The 26-year-old, who recently helped out fellow Canadian Drake and producer DJ Khaled by starring in their music video for “Popstar,” also uploaded a long message on September 7 about his continued journey towards self-discovery. Speaking about his struggles with fame and the difficult transition of growing up in Stratford, Ontario before being thrust into the public spotlight as a teen, Bieber writes that he lost his way. “I didn’t have material things and was never motivated by money or fame I just loved music. But as I became a teenager I let my insecurities and frustrations dictate what I put my value in,” writes Bieber. “My values slowly started to change. Ego and power started to takeover and my relationships suffered because of it.”The singer, who has been open about his struggles with depression and anxiety and his ongoing efforts to help treat his mental health issues through therapy, said that he is continuing to work on getting to a healthier mental and emotional state. “I truly desire healthy relationships. I want to be motivated by truth and love. I want to be aware of my blind spots and learn from them! I want to walk in the plans God has for me and not try and do it on my own,” continues Bieber, who posted the message twice on social media. “I want to give up my selfish desires daily so I can be a good husband and future dad! I’m grateful that I can walk with Jesus as he leads the way.”
