Justin Bieber and Tom Holland go live on IG and fans can’t get enough

Justin Bieber and Tom Holland are two of the youngest and biggest stars in the world, but with one ruling music and the other literally swinging through giant movie franchises, their paths have yet to cross. That was until Bieber made the connection Tuesday night, inviting Holland to appear on his Instagram Live video. We’re usually big proponents of going to bed early, but sometimes it pays to stay up late.Fans who tuned in to see Bieber livestreaming from his home in Ontario where he’s been quarantining with wife Hailey were shocked to see Holland join the Instagram session. Holland said that he’s been home in London for weeks, where he too is practicing physical distancing and staying home. Even Spider-Man knows that the best way to be a superhero during this global pandemic is to stay home.[video_embed id='1905425']RELATED: Justin and Hailey Bieber went head-to-head in game of ski-ball[/video_embed]Bieber was a gracious host and interviewer for the three-minute interaction, beginning the livestream by thanking Holland for the comments he made about his YouTube documentary series Seasons. Bieber was referring to Holland’s February interview with MTV, where the actor was asked to choose his favourite artist among Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran and Bieber. Holland chose Sheeran for his music but noted that he was also a big fan of the Biebs.“I think recently, Justin Bieber and what he’s been doing with that show that he did on YouTube, I just really enjoyed that because it was nice to see that someone who like, goes through it in the biggest way possible also has a hard time and I just felt like there was a real solidarity for young people going through it,” said Holland. “No one goes through it like he does, but we all go through it a little bit. I was just really grateful to see that side of him. I’m just really happy that he’s happy. He seems so happy and it just made me happy.”

The two men discussed how they’re keeping busy during their free time and like most people, they listed the shows they’re currently bingeing. Celebrities – they’re just like us! Holland is currently watching the show Alone, which forces 10 people to survive in the wilderness alone. Catchy title. “It’s the most real reality show I’ve ever seen in my life,” said Holland. Bieber asked how it compared to Naked and Afraid, but Holland was unfamiliar with the North American survival show. Now would be a good time to catch up, Peter Parker. As for Bieber, the popstar told Holland that the days are beginning to blend together. “I’m really good, just trying to pass the time, you know. I’m getting a little bored, but I’m good,” said Bieber.

After thousands of interviews, Bieber was a natural on the other end of the microphone, asking Holland how the pandemic had affected his filming scheduled. Holland said that he arrived in Berlin for the first day of filming his latest project Uncharted and was sent home. Bieber asked whether the Onward star had done much preparation for his role and Holland replied “I mean, I did a bit. I played the video games, and I got into shape, but I wasn’t putting my heart and my soul on the line for it.” That may not be what film producers want to hear, but not every film has Marvel stakes attached to it.Holland was joined by a friend for the final minute of the Instagram livestream before signing off with a goodbye that solidified Holland and Bieber’s fandom of one another and their newfound friendship. Tina and Amy, Courtney and Jennifer, Matt and Ben, Taylor and Selena, Oprah and Gayle, Meghan and Serena – a new iconic duo has been added to the list of famous friends.
