Jude Law welcomes baby number six

Jude Law is a father six times over. The 47-year old and his wife, Phillipa Coan, have welcomed a new child to this world, just a little over a year after they made their relationship official and tied the knot in May 2019.Law didn’t take to Instagram to make the announcement or jump on the trend of revealing the babe’s existence in a new music video. Instead, he opened up to late night host Jimmy Fallon on September 14, revealing that his wife recently gave birth to a new babe. Well, not that he immediately shared that happy news.In the virtual interview, Fallon asked Law what he’s been up to while in lockdown. The pair chatted about Law’s beard, which he grew to reprise his role as Dumbledore in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts film before production was shut down due to coronavirus. And he also went on about his newfound love of gardening—and in particular his penchant for wisteria. “I literally watched this thing grow up the wire. I’m more obsessed with that than anything else in my life right now,” he told Fallon, while trying to think about what else has been going down while in lockdown. “OH. And on top of that I had a baby. So there you go, ” he added.  “Buried the lead on that one,” Fallon joked. “Ugh, congrats, Dad!”Law didn’t go into more details, like when the baby was born or whether it was a boy or girl. But he did say that he was thankful to have this time with his new family. “We feel pretty blessed that we were in a time where we could, as a family, you know—we could just nest,” he said. “And enjoy each other’s company every day as it came. It was an unusual but kind of enforced love-in.”This kid marks the sixth for the Contagion star. The publication reported that just a few months before that Law had spoken freely about being open to having more kids.“I love it, so absolutely why not? I’m very lucky to be involved with someone I’m madly in love with... The idea of having more children would be just wonderful. I’m fortunate to be with someone where I’m having more fun than I’ve ever had in my life,” he said. “We have an incredibly stable and healthy, wonderful family existence and that involves my kids who are young adults... and then the younger ones are just so much joy and so much fun.”Looks like there’s a lot more fun around the corner for this proud pops.
