We’ve all been so swept up in the romance between The Voice judges Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, who are quarantining together in the cutest way possible, that Gavin Rossdale, frontman to the band Bush and Gwen’s ex-husband, just wanted to raise a hand to remind us that he’s still dealing with the after-effects of their divorce.Gavin, who, oddly enough, was also once a judge on the British version of The Voice (is he trying to send a message to Gwen here?), answered a quick Q&A with The Guardian over the weekend, and when asked, “What was your most embarrassing moment?” he replied, “The gross and lopsided spectre of the crumbling of my marriage.”[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Gwen Stefani never expected 'Hollaback Girl' to turn into a hit[/video_embed]The shocking confession comes after the No Doubt singer and style icon filed for divorce in 2015 (it was finalized in 2016) amid rumours that Gavin carried on a three-year affair with their nanny. The duo have three boys together, Kingston, 14, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 6 (Gavin also has one daughter, 31-year-old model Daisy Lowe, from a previous relationship). They were married for 13 years.Rossdale, who is currently single and living in LA, had previously told The Sun back in 2017 that the divorce was the hardest thing he’s ever been through. “[Divorce] was completely opposite to what I wanted. […] But here we are. Apart from death, I think divorce is one of the hardest, most painful things to go through.”The Guardian Q&A also contained some illuminating tidbits about how Gavin and Gwen are able to co-parent together, especially over the holidays. When asked, “When were you happiest?” he replied, “Last year, when I had all four kids – Daisy, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo – staying with me on my birthday. It was magical.”He also has recently spoken about the difficulties of seeing his children during the COVID-19 global pandemic. He told SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation, “I think it’s okay for now, but it’s a real big dilemma for parents and kids with split custody. I know who’s around me and know who’s bringing the corona — no one — but you send your kids out and now they’re coming back to you, and now you’re prone to whoever they’re with. So, it’s a tricky one with all divorced parents.”He also revealed in The Guardian interview that the worst thing anyone has ever said to him is, “’You lied to me’, when I did.” Hmm, okay, we’re getting a sense of what he’s like in an argument here.[video_embed id='1984978']RELATED: The COVID-19 pandemic is making divorce even harder to navigate[/video_embed]
