I’ve got to say these past few days have got me feeling a bit philosophical,” Gadot says in the video. “This virus has effected the entire world—everyone. Doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, we’re all in this together. And I saw this video of this Italian guy playing the trumpet on his balcony to all the other people who were locked inside their homes. He was playing “Imagine” and there was something so powerful and so pure about this video, and it goes like this…” the actress then launches into the song, and other celebs take over one by one. Will Ferrell, Maya Rudolph, Norah Jones and Sia can also be spotted throughout. While many people piped up in the comments to say how beautiful the sentiment and share was (the intent was clearly to make people smile), others are already taking to it online like it’s a Saturday Night Live sketch. Which, considering SNL is among the shows being postponed right now, may seem appropriate to fans. Especially those who said they couldn’t even make it through the three-minute clip.

To Gal Gadot and all the rich celebrities in that video with money, top insurance, and are out of touch to the struggle of everyday American during this time:
The struggle is real people are losing their jobs and they don't need a Beetle song trying to make it better. pic.twitter.com/27P5HqQeWp— Tasteful Telly (@living_resource) March 19, 2020

To be fair, many people out there probably think it is nice to imagine a world where everyone could have access to paid time off, universal health care and no scary fake news igniting even more fires under the constant fear. Gadot’s attempt to unify under those circumstances are totally uplifting. However that’s not the reality a lot of people are facing right now, and that’s probably why there’s so much hate around celebs singing a song about it. There are people out there who feel like a donation instead (or in addition to?) would have been a stronger message. Maybe Gadot should have taken a page from Ryan and Blake.Social distancing + isolation + stir crazy celebs = more social media posts to come. It really is anyone’s guess who will post what next.[video_embed id='1924204']BEFORE YOU GO: Prime Minister Trudeau confirms U.S.-Canada border is closed[/video_embed]Gal Gadot and friends pic.twitter.com/ptHjTXeaHj
