Courteney Cox had the best response to those jokes about her ‘Scream 3’ bangs

What’s more frightening than The Joker, Pennywise, and Freddy Krueger combined? Easy: the obscenely short and frizzy fringe of Gale Weathers in Scream 3.To celebrate spooky season, Courteney Cox took to Instagram to pay homage to her character in the 2000 horror classic by revisiting the film... and Weathers' famously 'unique' bangs. In her posted video, Cox lets her followers in on her comfy viewing of Scream 3, but it all turns into a horrifying mess when the actress pulls out a pair of scissors and begins snipping away at her bangs without a mirror in sight (we really hope it was a wig).“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. I think they’re cool. I say I bring them back,” Cox says before cutting off her hair.To make matters worse, just as we're recovering from the sight of her impromptu new 'do, something else happens to make us, well, scream.

After recovering from the petrifying appearance of Ghostface (for real, we need to have a word with whoever was behind that mask), Cox’s famous friends took to social media to comment on the actress’ video.Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet commented, “Quality,” while Kate Hudson was reduced to tears (of laughter... we hope?), and Isla Fisher said it best with, "Omg omg omg amazing."Fans, on the other hand, reminisced about Gale Weathers’ bangs with some hilarious tweets.
