Chrissy Teigen says she's decided to remove her breast implants

As usual, Chrissy Teigen’s commitment to transparency has resulted in the model and author gaining a new legion of fans and several vocal detractors. On Tuesday, Teigen shared a video of herself being tested for COVID-19 and announced that she was removing her breast implants. We applaud both decisions, but as always there are some haters to the left.On May 26, the Lip Sync Battle host shared a video showing the coronavirus test swab disappear into her nasal cavity twice. Teigen laughed throughout the entire process, helping to disarm anyone who may be nervous about having the test administered. This is great, right? It’s like when adults pretend to prick himself with a needle to make kids less nervous about going to the doctor! Mindy Kaling can’t stop watching it! But of course, the internet. Period.

Always one to return a clap back, Teigen was quick to point out that not only are COVID-19 tests free in Los Angeles where she lives, but that the video showed her laughing throughout the test and was aimed at helping others feel more comfortable getting tested themselves.

The Cravings author also revealed that she was being tested because of an upcoming surgery, once again sharing her personal journey to help others feel more comfortable and less alone in their own similar situations. Following the coronavirus test video, Teigen shared a picture of herself posing naked during her early modeling days and revealed that she was ready to throw a Boob Voyage party and have her breast implants removed.“Hi hi! So I posted myself getting a covid test on the twitter, as I’m getting surgery soon. A lot of people are understandably curious (and nosey!) so I’ll just say it here: I’m getting my boobs out,” wrote Teigen. “They’ve been great to me for many years but I’m just over it. I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort! No biggie! So don’t worry about me! All good. I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat. Which is all a tit is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat.”

Teigen has been receiving support from many of her followers and friends, including fellow model Tess Holiday who commented “Love those bags of fat!” Erin Foster, daughter of Canadian music legend David Foster, may have won the best comment competition, writing “Can I take the ones your chucking. They look great. Sisterhood of the traveling boob.” Twitter user Rob Hoffman comes in a close second.

In March, Teigen opened up about her implants publicly for the first time to Glamour UK. Teigen said she had surgery when she was 20 and at the time was doing a lot of swimsuit modeling. “I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed,” said the mom of two. Teigen said that the surgery did not increase the size of her breasts and instead filled them out and changed the shape.The model admitted that she had already been thinking about having them removed but was concerned about the dangers that go with any medical procedure. “If I could do one thing, it would be to have a lift. I think you’re supposed to replace [implants] every ten years.
