Ariana Grande was saved by a backup dancer after falling on stage

Ariana Grande is a true pro. The singer has spent the past few years touring almost non-stop, playing sold out shows around the world and continuing to serve up some of the best vocals in the pop industry. She’s overcome incredible pain and heartache and has been able to channel her emotions into Grammy-nominated music, so yeah, a little fall isn’t about to stop Ari.The singer made a tour stop in her home state of Florida this week and was performing in Tampa when she lost her balance at the end of a performance. Grande was walking on a table when she stumbled and fell forward onto her knees. Thankfully, the singer was caught by one of her backup dancers, who managed to save the singer from what could have easily been a nasty ankle sprain. Those platform boots are no joke.Twitter user Nora shared a video of the stumble, pointing out that Grande even fell on beat. All stan the pop princess, queen of high notes, musical impersonations, and falling gracefully. Grande shared the video as well, commenting that “things were going too well” before falling.

Grande’s Sweetner Tour has endured its ups and downs lately. The singer had to cancel her tour stop in Kentucky earlier this month on November 17 after revealing that she was ‘very sick’ with a sinus infection that left her unable to perform. Grande kept fans updated about her condition on her IG stories, saying she had been trying to fight the illness with no luck, saying “I’m scared that I might have to cancel some things, so this is kind just a heads up of like I don’t know what’s happening with my body, and I’m really disappointed and freaked out of why I can’t get better because it’s been over three weeks at this point.”

Thankfully, most of Grande’s tour has been a huge success. The popstar has welcomed several high profile guests to her shows, including musician Harry Styles, Stranger Things actor Millie Bobby Brown, and most recently, Vermont Senator and Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. Grande has been partnering with the organization Head Count to use her shows on the Sweetner Tour to help fans register to vote in the upcoming election. Grande officially endorsed Sanders in November, sharing a picture with the senator and writing “MY GUY. Lady Gaga recently took a nasty spill while on stage during her Las Vegas residency show Enigma. The singer had invited a fan on stage, who promptly picked up Mother Monster and began dancing with the Oscar winner. The fan lost his balance and took a hard tumble off the stage, taking Gaga with him. The pair quickly recovered and made their way back on stage, but Gaga later revealed that the injuries from the fall were more severe than she initially let on. Popstars are super tough, y’all.
