In news that recalls a very uncomfortable scene from The Devil Wears Prada, sources have shared that Vouge Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour has officially split up with her partner of more than 20 years, Shelby Bryan. Bryan and Wintour got together in 1999 when Wintour was married to psychiatry professor David Schaffer with whom she has two grown children, Bee and Charles. Wintour and Schaffer divorced that same year.Page Six reported that the couple’s relationship has been in a cooling off period for as much as seven years, possibly starting after Bryan got into tax trouble to the tune of $1.2 million. “That was the beginning of the end,” said the site’s source. “He started to become a liability. It’s been quite a while since they’ve been seen together.” While Anna has been doing the WFH routine, running Vogue from her Greenwich Village townhouse, it’s reported that Bryan has been spending time on the other side of the country—in Texas, where he’s from.Hours after the news of the breakup broke, a PEOPLE story revealed the split actually isn't new. According to the mag's sources, Wintour and Bryan actually separated years ago without letting the public know. The exact number of years is not shared.[video_embed id='2004641']RELATED: Naomi Campbell reacts to Anna Wintour’s note on Vogue’s lack of diversity [/video_embed]Speculation and rumours about who each half of the former New York power couple might be dating now is already circulating. The Page Six story also noted that Wintour appeared to be having the time of her life over a dinner with Love Actually actor Bill Nighy in February (lockdown has hurt the dating lives of even the most privileged among us) while Bryan may be considering a reunion with his ex-wife Katherine Bryan. An insider shut down that theory, however, saying “Katherine and Shelby have kids together [and] are friends. That’s all.”[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Golden Retriever answers questions with 'yes' & 'no' buttons [/video_embed]
