In only a few hours, Schumer has already received an outpouring of support from fans and her famous friends. “I’m praying for you and Chris. I’m sorry,” writes Selena Gomez. TV anchor Katie Couric sent words of encouragement, writing “You got this mama! Sending you lots of love!” Tatiana Maslany, Wendy Williams, Tess Holliday, Samantha Ronson and many more women showed their support in Schumer’s comments section, as well as women who also shared their own stories of struggling through IVF.[video_embed id='1780633']RELATED: Does baby brain exist?[/video_embed]Many followers thanked Schumer for opening up a dialogue about IVF, with one woman writing “In a world of gender reveals and birth announcements it’s difficult when you struggle with infertility. The IVF process is more so emotionally exhausting, just remember you are stronger than you know and keep faith that it will all work out!” Another wrote “Thank you so much for sharing this and helping to normalize something so important. You have no idea how much you just helped countless women going through the same thing.”In October, Schumer shared a picture of Gene in a Halloween costume and announced that it would be the last pic she would post of her son. The comedian has continued sharing her thoughts and experiences on motherhood while maintaining privacy for her young son, instead focusing on her journey as a mom and in turn helping other parents who are going through similar issues and struggles. Schumer has also been refreshingly up front about having help to raise Gene, with the comedian going back to work a few months after her son was born. In a picture Schumer shared earlier this week, she poses with a beauty face mask on next to her nanny, a woman “who makes it possible for me to work and know that our baby is happy and healthy.”
