From 90210 to Charmed, actress Shannen Doherty has always battled with the label that she was difficult to work with or that she was fired from both shows for being a prima donna. Now, the actress is setting the record straight on the latest episode of her podcast, Let’s Be Clear.

Former Charmed co-star Holly Marie Combs appeared on the podcast and revealed that Shannen was not fired from the iconic 90s show as has been alleged for decades. Rather, it was co-star Alyssa Milano who had her fired, and even threatened legal action.

Saying she was called into a meeting with producer Jonathan Levin, Combs admitted, “He said, ‘We didn’t mean to — but we’ve been backed into this corner — we’re basically in this position where it’s one or the other. We were told by Alyssa it’s her or Shannen and Alyssa has threatened to sue us for a hostile workplace environment.'”

Combs then recalled saying to Levin, “This is not a show I wanted to do without Shannen. She didn’t want to do it without me. Therefore, I don’t want to do it without her and that should be fairly clear.” However the producer threatened to sue her if she broke her contract.

Shannen’s character was killed off at the end of the season 3 and she was replaced by Rose McGowan. At the time, Shannen told the press she had quit the show.

However, now Shannen says on the podcast episode that she doesn’t recall any major brawls or drama on set, saying things were always very respectful.

"I lived a year after that sort of replaying everything in my brain and really trying to find those moments," she said in the episode. "I don't ever remember being mean to her on set."

"I remember an episode I directed where she did something on the Christmas break," she recalled, "and they asked me to work around some things with her and I had no problem with it. I couldn't have been more kind and understanding."

Shannen added that over the years she has worked on acceptance but isn’t quite yet ready to forgive. "As you get older, you accept that a situation happened. Acceptance and moving on with your life does not equate to forgiveness. You just learn a lesson and look at somebody differently and move on."

Alyssa Milano hasn’t yet responded to these revelations, however, today is her birthday, so we’d hazard a guess she’s a bit busy right now.
