Love, love, love! As the 2022 chapter is winding down, let's look back on the exciting new celeb couples we saw this year... and the ones who sadly didn't make it.

BIGGEST BREAKUPS OF 2022

Jojo Siwa and Avery Cyrus: December 2022

JoJo first made their relationship official in a TikTok back in September, but the relationship was rumoured as early as the summer. Since going public, both were very open about their relationship on social media.

Unfortunately, JoJo and Avery broke up in early December this year, and JoJo confirmed the breakup in the comments of a TikTok, "We decided that we are better off as friends! We are both so young and still just trying to figure our stuff out! 💞"

Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde: November 2022

The duo made headlines when they were photographed holding hands at Styles’ manager’s wedding in January 2021. What transpired after is a convoluted mess of drama involving Olivia's divorce from Jason Sudeikis, the couple's relationship with Florence Pugh and more. We simply do not have the room to get into it here. 

(Un)fortunately, in the fall, People broke the news that Harry and Olivia are "taking a break" with a source saying, "He's still touring and is now going abroad. She is focusing on her kids and her work in L.A. It's a very amicable decision."

The couple lasted almost two full years of dating.

Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker: November 2022

In June 2020 "Kevin" (Kendall + Devin, duh) officially became a thing. Rumours increased after they were seen getting into the same car together after dinner at celebrity hotspot Nobu. Apart from paparazzi shots, these two remained pretty private over the course of their relationship.

We first saw trouble in paradise 2 years later, with the duo first reportedly breaking up in June 2022 and then rekindling two months after their split. However, they called it quits again in November 2022.

Technically, according to a source, the pair broke up "a little over a month ago," which is around October. The source also added that "things are amicable after the breakup—there's no bad blood between them."

Tom Brady and Gisele: Octorber 2022

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are officially divorced after 13 years together. 

The two first met through a mutual friend in December 2006 and quickly began dating. The football player proposed to the model in January 2009 and after a month-long engagement, the couple wed in California on February 26, 2009. It seems were pretty perfect until Tom announced his "un-retirement" from the NFL.

“Gisele was not happy when Tom un-retired from the NFL after such a short time,” an insider said amid divorce rumours this year. Their divorce was finalized in late October 2022.

Both Tom and Gisele took it to their social platforms to assure fans they ended it in the most amicable way possible. He announced the split on Insta, saying in part, "We arrived at this decision amicably, and with gratitude, for the time we spent together."

Gisele also stated, "The decision to end a marriage is never easy, but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always."

Paul Wesley and Ines de Ramon: September 2022

The Vampire Diaries starring actor and 29-year-old jewel designer, Ines ended their marriage of over three years.

Both of their reps confirmed the news to People, saying, "The decision to separate is mutual and occurred five months ago. They request privacy at this time."

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson: August 2022

Kim and Pete were together for almost a year with every outing drawing wild media attention. The pair were first linked in October 2021, then broke up in August 2022. It came as a bit of a shock to observers as just days before their split, insiders claimed the two were “smitten” with each other and were planning on making a long-distance relationship work as Pete was filming a movie in Australia.

However, multiple sources from different outlets said Kim and Pete decided to "be just friends" because their schedules "made it really difficult to maintain a relationship."

Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey: June 2022

On June 4, media outlets broke the news that Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey had split up after almost two years of dating

A source told People, "Michael and Lori are both completely heartbroken. They still love each other. Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time. They had great times together and brought out the best in each other."

Ali Wong and Justin Hakuta: April 2022

In April 2022, Ali Wong and Justin Hakuta confirmed their divorce after eight years of marriage. This news was genuinely heartbreaking for fans who felt deeply invested in the relationship from Wong's comedy specials! Ali first met the businessman, Justin, while attending a wedding for a mutual friend. After 4 years of dating, they wedded at city hall in 2014. The lowkey couple then welcomed two lovely children in 2015 and 2017. Unfortunately, the fairy tale ended in April 2022 as they announced their separation.

A source told People, "It's amicable and they will continue to co-parent lovingly." 

Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus: April 2022

Surprise! This spring, Us Weekly acquired court documents in which Tish cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the breakup, stating she and Billy have not "cohabited as man and wife for a continuous period of more than two years." The couple first met in a club in 1991 and got married in 1993, and eventually welcomed three children together: Miley, Braison and Noah. Billy Ray also adopted Tish's children, Brandi and Trace. After spending three decades together, the two decided to divorce for good. 

This permanent split is actually the couple's third divorce. Billy first filed for divorce but withdrew after a couple of months, in 2010. Tish filed for divorce in 2013 but also canceled the process and got back with Billy after couples therapy.

Chris Pine and Annabelle Wallis: March 2022

The Wonder Woman actor, 41, and the Malignant actress, 37, first sparked romance rumors in March 2018.

In the beginning of March 2022, People confirmed that Chris and Annabelle had broken up after four years of dating. A source from Us Weekly said at the time, the actors "haven't been together for a few months now." 

There were no speculations or reasons for the split. Alas, there are some things we just can't know. 

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet: January 2022

Still so devastating! Jason and Lisa dropped the news of their breakup in January 2022. 

According to their joint statement, "We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times…a revolution is unfolding, and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so we share our family news that we are parting ways in marriage."

Admittedly, this one hurt.

NEW COUPLES of 2022

Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon: December 2022

From Paul Wesley to Brad Pitt? The Anita Ko jewelery designer has reportedly moved on with the Babylon actor to form Hollywood's newest couple.

In early December, the pair celebrated the actor's 59th birthday in LA, just days after they attended an afterparty for his new film, Babylon.

"Brad and Ines are officially dating now. They really enjoy each other's company and are having a great time in the early stages of an early relationship, but are still getting to know each other," a source told Us Weekly.

Dua Lipa and Jack Harlow: December 2022

Looks like manifestation is real!

In May this year, Harlow released "Dua Lipa" track with the hook "Dua Lipa, I'm tryna do more with her than do a feature". And half a year later, he is now reportedly dating Dua Lipa. The rapper got cozy with the singer at the Variety Hitmakers Brunch in Los Angeles in early December and has been reportedly in "constant communication" in the days following. 

A source told Page Six, "he was very interested in her, and was going to strongly pursue [the romantic relationship]."  The publication also reported that Harlow flew to NYC this past weekend to see Lipa after the Z100 Jingle Ball.

Simu Liu and Allison Hsu: November 2022

Simu and Allison made their red carpet debut at the Violent Night premiere in LA, on November 29th. Hsu is a marketing manager at Intersope Records and the two have been on several trips together in the short time they've been public.

When it comes to his favorite things about his new girlfriend, the Barbie actor said, "She's a badass, she's a fighter, and she's very, very passionate about all things in life, her work, her job, and her other things. And that's a language that I speak very well, and I am happy to see where it goes."

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista: November 2022

Sad news, ladies, but the sexiest man alive of 2022 is no longer on the market.

News broke in early November that Alba Baptista, a 25-year-old Portuguese actress who speaks four languages fluently and does a ton of humanitarian work, and Captain America, 41, have been secretly dating "for over a year." The two were recently spotted holding hands while walking in Central Park. 

While the couple has yet to go Instagram official, sources have reported that the couple is very happy. 

Andrew Garfield and Phoebe Dynevor: November 2022

After the split from Alyssa Miller earlier in the year, the Spider-Man actor has a new woman in his life, and that's none other than the Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor. The couple was confirmed to be an item after meeting at GQ's Man of the Year Awards in London this November.

"Andrew and Phoebe clicked straight away. There was an immediate attraction," a source told The Sun. "They know each other through various acquaintances in the business and have plenty in common. But this is certainly no one-off encounter. After leaving together, they've since met up and are acting like a proper couple."

Devon Lee Carlson and Duke Nicholson- October 2022

According to an Instagram post from the model, the WildFlower phone case founder, Devon Lee Carlson, and Hollywood nepo baby Duke Nicholson are now dating. (Nicholson is the grandson of Hollywood actor Jack Nicholson.)

You've probably seen Nicholson before on the album cover of "Norman f-king Rockwell" by Lana Del Rey and Devon has been one of the IT girls on the Internet, with almost a billion followers across her social platforms. She was also previously in a 7-year relationship with lead singer and musician of The Neighbors, Jesse Rutherford, who's now dating Billie Eilish.

The pair made their red carpet debut at the GQ party this year in late November.

Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford- October 2022

Grammy winner, Billie Eilish, 20, was spotted smooching the frontman of The Neighbourhood, Jesse Rutherford, 31, this October.

Page Six broke the news with pictures of the two smiling, kissing, and holding hands as they seemed to enjoy a date together. 

The couple then went Instagram official on Halloween night when the "Bad Guy" singer posted a series of Halloween photos, including one with Rutherford. The pair are dressed in costume as a baby and an elderly man, seemingly poking fun at their 11-year age gap which had sparked controversy across social media since they were first seen together. 

Billie also shared pictures of her and Jesse on Instagram, celebrating her 21st birthday earlier this December!

Gigi Hadid and Leonardo DiCaprio: September 2022

Gigi Hadid and Leonardo DiCaprio's relationship has reportedly been warming up. The 26-year-old model and the Oscar winner were first seen hanging out in Paris during Fashion Week. 

A source told Us Weekly that "[Leo] really likes that she has her life together. She has a child and she's mature. He wants to be with someone who has the same idea of good causes and political views like he does." 

Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler: March 2022

Actress and model Kaia Gerber and actor Austin Butler together is arguably one of the hottest couples of 2022. The couple made their first public debut at W Magazine's annual Best Performances party this year back in March hand-in-hand, and then their first red carpet debut was at the Met Gala 2022 together in May.

Though the couple keeps things lowkey and private, we know Kaia is a supportive girlfriend as she made time to attend Austin's new movie premiere, Elvis, at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
