It turns out Travis Kelce wasn’t the only VIP to join Taylor Swift in Sydney, Australia for her “Eras” tour concert dates. Former frenemy Katy Perry was also in attendance and put to bed any lingering rumours of bad blood.

“Got to see an old friend shine tonight,” Perry posted on Instagram alongside a photo and video carousel of her posing for a selfie with the “Karma” songstress.

The carousel also included a very funny video of Perry singing along to the song reportedly about their previous feud, “Bad Blood,” with a somewhat shocked expression on her face. We love this for her.

Rumours of bad blood between the two pop icons goes way back. At one point, the two were besties. Between 2009 and 2011, Taylor and Perry were supposedly great friends — tweeting compliments at each other, going to each others' birthday parties, and more, per Cosmopolitan. During this time, they both reportedly had flings with John Mayer, which surprisingly didn't directly cause their feud — but it does go to show just how entangled they were.

Glamour reports that the feud was sparked after three of Perry's backup dancers from her “California Dreams” tour joined Taylor Swift's “Red” tour, then left prematurely to join Perry on her “Prismatic” tour. T-Swift all but confirmed that this was the inciting incident of their feud and the inspo behind the song "Bad Blood" in a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone. She said the person she was talking about in the song "basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."

This feud lasted almost a decade, with the pair taking subtle jabs at each other in their work and in the media over the years. It finally came to an end in 2019 when Perry appeared in her former friend's "You Need To Calm Down" video dressed up as a burger. Swift was in a French fry costume, and they danced together. Perry captioned a picture of the two in costume on Instagram, "This meal is BEEF-free."

The comments section of Perry’s IG is aflame with fans gushing over the pair’s reunion, and also the inclusion of “Bad Blood” in the set list, with many calling it “iconic.” Hopefully a collab is next!
