EGOT winner and The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg has played some of the most iconic LGBTQ+ characters during her storied career, including in Steven Spielberg’s “The Color Purple” and “Boys On The Side.” In addition to this, she has been a staunch supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and was honoured in 2017 by the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation for her 30 years of activism.

Because of all of this, and more, the “Sister Act” legend revealed that she is asked all the time if she’s queer. And her former The View co-host Raven Symoné has just become one of those inquisitors.

The “Ghost” Oscar winner joined the “That’s So Raven” alum on “The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda” where Raven and wife Miranda Maday-Pearman wondered aloud about Whoopi’s sexuality.

Prefacing that she wanted to “dig into your business a little bit,” Raven told Whoopi, “You give me lesbian vibes, you give me stud vibes.”

Or to put it another way, “Honestly, when I was around you, I loved you so much, like I just wanted to be up underneath the t***y the whole time.” That’s so Raven.

Miranda then added, “This is a secret fantasy of Raven. I think she just wants everybody to be gay and she’s just really hoping you’ll come out right here, right now.”

“So, if you want to tell us anything, Whoops, you’re more than welcome to,” Raven continued.

The “Girl, Interrupted” star replied, “Women have been asking me this for as long as I’ve been around. I am not a lesbian. But I know lots of them, and I’ve played them on television. But I have always had lesbian friends because they’re just my friends,’” Whoopi added.

While she’s close with her queer friends, she added that the closeness isn’t physical. Explaining her boundaries, she recounted how she tells her friends, “I’m not gonna kiss you, but I’ll kiss you over here, I’ll do this but I’m not going to do this… And they’re like, ‘OK!’”

“The Cosby Show” ingenue then praised Whoopi for embracing both sides of the masculine and feminine coin. "There is something beautiful about a woman being able to embrace their masculine and feminine at the same time and wear it so well, like you do. It’s fantastic, you’re not either one or the other, you’re just a human living in your body and doesn’t really correlate to sexual orientation or any of that. It’s just the way you present, and it’s so warming.”

Raven added, “You live in this duality so well, and I just want to applaud you for that."

Whoopi then replied that she finds that duality is present in everybody and was put there on purpose. “God created us in duality” and “God does not make mistakes. You know, when people say ‘oh, you know, it’s this or it’s that’ it isn’t this or that: It just is,” she said.

Recently in June, Whoopi posted to her official Instagram in support of the Elton John AIDS foundation, writing in the caption, “No matter who you are or who you love, everyone deserves to live free from fear and stigma. Together we can make that world a reality.” The accompanying photo contained the text overlay, “Help end LGBTQ+ stigma.”
