Remember when Jennifer Lopez shaded Ben Affleck’s back tattoo?

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. They are love’s young dream. The star-crossed lovers, separated by circumstance, who found their way back to each other after nearly 20 years.
We will forever stan.
To commemorate their first Valentine’s Day together as hubby and wifey, Bennifer did something we did not see coming - they got matching tattoos.
On February 14, Mrs. Affleck posted an Instagram carousel of photos where she revealed their matching tattoos. While J.Lo’s ribcage tattoo appears in the shape of an infinity symbol with their names along the line’s, the Oscar-winning writer and director has their initials embedded within cupid’s arrow on his body. The carousel also included snaps of them on a yacht where he grabs her famous derriere (of course…. This wouldn’t be Bennifer without a butt-touch), and also way-back throwback pics of them from the early 2000s.
The “If You Had My Love” singer captioned the post, “Commitment ♾️
Happy Valentine’s Day my love 🤍 (Look for more deets on VDay coming #OnTheJLo soon…)” and she included the hashtags, “#CommitmentIsSexy #ThisIsUsThen #ThisIsUsNow #THISISMENOW.”
NGL, we’re a bit shocked Jenny got inked. First of all, you don’t put a bumper sticker on a Bentley. Secondly, it’s not really her vibe. But for Mr. Dunkin Donuts over here, that is definitely his vibe. Lest we all forget the madness that erupted when we all learned the Good Will Hunting star got a massive dragon tattoo inked on his back, from neck to coccyx!
And if we remember what those 20 years that J & B spent apart were like, the “I’m Real” singer not only noticed his tattoos, she took a few pot shots at them as well.
"It's AWFUL," Jenny famously told Andy Cohen in 2016 during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. "I mean, I would tell him that, like what are you doing? It has too many colours. His tattoos always have too many colours! They shouldn't be so colourful, you know what I mean? They should be, like, cooler."
Dang. She sure has changed her tune since she became Mrs. Affleck, n’est-ce pas?
The backlash to Ben’s, uh, back, got so intense that he had to address it during an appearance on Ellen. “Your back tattoo got a lot of attention,” Ellen chatted with him in 2019.
"Not so much positive! It's a phoenix," he replied. "I was about to say it represents something really important to me! It's meaningful to me. I like it. It's not something I sort of kept private. The sentiment ran against... but I love my tattoo, I'm happy with it."
He also tweeted jokingly about it in 2018 when the New Yorker published an article entitled “The Great Sadness of Ben Affleck.”
“I’m doing just fine. Thick skin bolstered by garish tattoos,” he tweeted at the outlet.
Nevertheless, fans are delighted by their love and devotion to each other.
Suppose it’s safe to say that J & B are not only in love, they’re INK love.
