Stanley Tucci doesn't get why everyone thinks he's so sexy... but we do

There’s a word for a distinguished man of a certain age who still oozes sex appeal, gentlemanly charisma, and a certain je-ne-said-quois. And that term is “zaddy.” What better way to describe 61-year-old actor and Negroni-aficionado Stanley Tucci, who manages to make more and more people swoon with each passing year. In a new interview, the Devil Wears Prada star says it’s something he doesn’t completely understand.
“I feel great about it,” he tells People Magazine about that label for their current cover story., but tempers that with, "I don't get it."
"Who goes, 'I feel terrible about that'? People think I'm sexy? How awful," he continues. "It's wonderful. I don't get it, but I'm very glad."
Stanley, darling, we get it, even if you don’t. First of all, have you seen you? Secondly, the entire world held its collective breath in 2020 when your wife, Felicity Blunt (yes, sister to his The Devil Wears Prada costar Emily) filmed you making a Negroni.
His perfectly-snug-in-all-the-right-places couture. His deep, resonating voice. The slow way he enjoys the process. It’s all just #ChefsKiss.
And he continues to make us think inappropriate thoughts! Look at this picture he posted to IG just the other day, apparently taken 42 years ago. Stanley, WE STAN.
Sister-in-law Emily Blunt agrees, telling the outlet, “He's an all-around renaissance man who knows the way to everyone's hearts. And it's through having a damn good time."
That “damn good time” includes hosting a wonderfully popular CNN travel show called Searching For Italy, where Tucci takes us on a delightful romp through Italy’s best food and scenic locales.
The show, which has delayed the premiere of season 2 due to the seriousness of the war in Ukraine, has made a huge mark on viewers and Stanley Stans alike. Just read these comments. The thirst is real.
Despite all of the fun and accolades he’s enjoying at this stage in his life, he also tells the outlet that his recent cancer battle was a scary moment for him. The diagnosis (cancer on his tongue) came in 2017, forcing him to endure radiation treatment for 35 days and then seven chemotherapy sessions. The cocktail of both treatments reduced his sense of taste and smell and because of the location of the cancer, he couldn’t eat normally. He ended up on a feeding tube.
"I had a scan, but the scan missed it. And of course, when you think that there might be something wrong, you're also afraid that there is something wrong," the Easy A star said, noting first wife, Kate, died of breast cancer in 2009 after they enjoyed 14 years of wedded bliss.
"They couldn't do surgery because the tumor was so big. It's a miracle that it didn't metastasize. It had been in me so long."
Today he credits his good health and cancer-free status to wife Felicity. “Felicity's undying attention, affection and encouragement got me through it,” he gushes.
