A health scare has rocked the Bieber-Baldwin household over the past few days, with supermodel Hailey Baldwin revealing that last Thursday she suffered from a blood clot in her brain that resulted in “stroke-like symptoms.”
Over the weekend, she posted a statement to her Instagram Stories to detail the experience.
“On Thursday morning, I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke-like symptoms and was taken to the hospital," she wrote [via People]. "They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours.
She continued, "Although this was definitely one of the scariest moments I've ever been through, I'm home now and doing well, and I'm so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me!"
She ended off her statement written on her phone’s Notes app with a heartfelt show of gratitude to family, friends, and fans who expressed concern for her welfare. “Thank you to everyone who has reached out with well wishes and concern, and for all the support and love." She then signed her name with a dual pink heart emoji.
The news of Baldwin suffering such symptoms at the young age of 25 has concerned many fans, but none moreso than her hubby, Canadian popstar Justin Bieber. A source close to the couple has revealed to People that the “Peaches” singer is really struggling to come to terms with the health episode and scare.
"Justin is still very worried," the source told the outlet. "He can barely sleep. He stays up watching her while she rests."
The source also said, "Hailey doesn't want anyone to worry about her, but it was a terrifying situation for both of them." Justin, who just celebrated his 28th birthday, has not publicly commented on his wife’s health scare.
The news of Hailey’s health episode comes a few weeks after Justin was forced to postpone some dates on his “Justice World Tour” due to contracting COVID-19. It is not clear if Hailey contracted COVID-19 from her husband, however some studies have shown that blood clots are a side effect of the virus. A source close to the couple has told the Daily Mail that doctors are still attempting to determine the cause of her blood clot.
Well wishes have poured out onto social media, with many hoping Hailey fully recovers.
