Lil’ Kim wore a dress covered in dozens of 3D roses to New York Fashion Week

Labour Day always feels like the unofficial end of summer and while the calendar says there are still a few more weeks left of the 2021 season, there’s a psychological change that happens when the clock signals September.

Still, Hollywood stars didn’t shy away from bright citrus hues, floral appliqués or colourful monochrome fits, all of which are usually reserved for warm weather months earlier in the year.

Lil’ Kim, for one, didn’t let the shift in weather wilt her flowery disposition. The 47-year-old rapper kicked off New York Fashion Week at the Christian Siriano show in a mini dress embellished with dozens and dozens of red fabric rosebuds… and a looooong floor-length braid with ombre red dye that dusted the ground as she walked.

The Venice Film Fest continued, too, and so many of the stars who showed up wore bright fits in bold colours like rich Bordeaux reds, vibrant oranges and frothy pinks.
