Your engagement ring can say a whole lot about the relationship you're in and the individual you're marrying – especially if you're Jennifer Lopez, who has been engaged *six* times, and married three. So in this case, it's all about quantity and quality.
JLo and Ben Affleck (who gifted her one of those five rings back in 2002) have just turned their rekindled relationship official again by marking their love with a solid green piece in April 2022 -- 20 years after they were set to wed the first time. Say what you want about JLo, but mama loves a full-circle moment.
With a sixth ring in the mix, it's a good time to take a look back at all of Lopez's previous rings. Because here's a fun fact: each ring was pricier and bigger than the one before. Ah, to be Jennifer Lopez.
Lopez was married to this cute Cuban waiter for nearly a year, from February 1997 to January 1998, and actually met him while at friend Gloria Estefan's restaurant. He proposed with a $100,000 marquise-cut diamond ring.
This was just on the cusp of the release of biopic Selena, starring Lopez, and which kicked off her superstardom, so let's just say she let the dead weight drop at the right time. Because soon after their split, although the two attempted to remain friends and even business partners of her fledgling restaurant Madre's (remember that?), he attempted to sell a tell-all book about her and publish other details about her personal life, leaving her with no choice but to sue the guy and banish him from her life.

Then came Cris Judd, one of Lopez's back-up dancers in her "Love Don't Cost A Thing" music video, in 2001, just after her two-year relationship with P. Diddy (lest we forget). He popped the question with an emerald-cut ring, which featured smaller diamonds across the band, and was valued to be just over $100,000.
The pair were together from that September until June 2002, this time with a lot less turmoil.

Lopez's first true love (literally, she has referred to him as such over the years) came along in 2002, leaving the world gushing at their sweet romance. In it to win it, Affleck proposed to Lopez at his childhood home in Boston, filling it with candles and with her own music blasting, with the help of his mom (who loves Lopez). He got down on one knee and presented the biggest rock she'd seen yet – aptly: a 6.1 carat radiant-cut pink diamond from Harry Winston, which reportedly cost Affleck $1.2 million, and even kicked off the colour engagement ring trend. I may be biased, but listen, no ring has suited Lopez more.

Lopez and Affleck called off their wedding and called it quits in 2004 when the publicity surrounding their relationship became too much and, following what would soon become a pattern, she went back to an old flame: singer Marc Anthony.
The two married in June 2004, after he proposed with an 8.5 carat blue diamond, which cost a whopping $4 million, and also came from famed jeweller to the stars Harry Winston. An incredibly meaningful relationship, their union led to the birth of her two children, Max and Emme, in 2008. Although the two split in 2011, they've had an incredibly friendly relationship since. Which is impressive, because in her 2014 memoir True Love, she noted that Anthony, who showed up three days after her scheduled wedding to Affleck, was a "Band-Aid on the cut." If only diamonds could heal all wounds.

Finally, we come to thee New York Yankee, Alex Rodriguez, who Lopez began dating in 2017, just a year after her on-off relationship with former back-up dancer Casper Smart concluded. The two looked like the perfect match, even just in star wattage, and easily blended their families. A match made in heaven? Hm. He proposed in 2019 with a $5 million emerald-cut diamond (a style she'd seen before, oops), which was reportedly between 10 and 15 carats. How she held up her hand with this rock weighing it down, we will never know. The two sadly split in 2021, after rumours of his cheating began.

JLo's latest bling is courtesy of Ben (again), 20 years after they were supposed to tie the knot originally, and it seems he rightly opted to update the piece. We don't know much about it as of yet, but here's what we do know: it's green and it's BIG. Congrats to the happy couple AGAIN and we await a picture that isn't a blurry screenshot from a video...

So what can we surmise? Lopez is a woman deserving of something pretty, shiny and hefty, and I don't just mean Ben Affleck. Let's hope he really nailed it this time and they can get all the way down the aisle to get the guy his own lil ring.
